Elemental Fury Enchantment

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 2:30 am

From the tes wiki:

"The wind effect may remain on the weapon, making it unenchantable. The weapon can then be disenchanted to give the Elemental Fury effect."

has anyone been able to duplicate this? Sounds like a hell of an enchantment!

I have gotten the glitch where the visual and sound effects remain, but I didnt try disenchanting the weapon to see if I could learn it.

I would be curious to learn under what circumstances this glitch is triggered and whether or not the enchantment would work on a bow where the shout does not.

Huh, I wonder what happens if you just use the shout on an equipped weapon (say some cheap sword you found) and then walk up to use an enchanting table? If a glitch can act as an active enchantment, why not the normal version?

Couldn't get it to happen. Used full powered elemental fury (and lower leveled), I would go to enchant table right away, or drop weapon, pick it up, then go to the table. I also tried when shout was still recharging, and when it wasn't. Nothing ever happened except glitch where sound and visual remained. Either this glitch is super random, something I'm not doing, or its not real. You would think this would of been noticed by now.

I haven't ever tried this for myself, but I imagine it would be like the unique enchantments you get from disenchanting Linwe's Armor/Hood/Gloves/Boots in that you can destroy the item and learn the enchantment, you just can't place it on any item.

Likely the case. Would have been fun if it worked.

So. What happens if you use Elemental Fury on an already enchanted weapon? o_O

You can't. It only works on unenchanted ones. There are a few with no-charge enchantments like Valdr's dagger that it works on, yet not Mehrune's Razor. Not sure why.
