this is a really good question. Maybe because the vegas elvis is the one people want to forget about.

my guess is as the King said that was the only building in all of the Mohave that has any information on Elvis. He said the holotapes were broken and not really working now but they did work when he found them. Also he said something about wanting to keep information on Elvis private to make the Kings Unique.

Do you know how much $$ it costs to get the rights to using an Elvis song? Uno.. The most high-selling legendary singer of all time. In an old TV series, Sledge Hammer.. They couldn't even sing an Elvis song due to the copyright.

Yeah, I noticed that. I figured it cost too much money to license the music.

You could probably mod in your own Elvis song collection, but you would not be able to distribute the mod to others.

One of the devs said the choice was either all the songs in game now (48 of them, 2 sinatra) or one(1) elvis song.

For the same reason that if you buy a compilation CD of '50s music it is unlikely to have any Elvis tracks, and if you buy a compilation CD of '60 music it is unlikely to have any Beatles tracks - it's simply too expensive to buy license to use certain artists' material.
