6 Empty Dungeons in a row, all were Quest-Related

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:30 pm

Is anyone else annoyed by this? I've basically done everything there is to do, so like in Morrowind and Oblivion I just like to ignore the map and compass and get lost somewhere and delve in.

But there were so many quest-related places that I end up wandering into an empty cave or an empty ruin, sometimes consecutively. The save I always load to do this is after waiting several days to make sure that all locations have been re-filled with enemies and loot.

Is making quest-related locations 're-fillable' a priority at all? It's no fun to have your adventurism rewarded with nothing...

Surely I'm not the only guy who's done all Skyrim has to offer and just has random dungeon-delving...

I know my fellow TES-players... It brings out the completionist in us, and we usually end up on the forums when we aren't playing Skyrim or when we have something we want to complain about...

Hmm... I lucked out on not getting any of the bugs everyone was talking about, but apparently I'm the only one with this issue...

That I know of...

Spawn time can vary I think but 3 weeks seems to be the safe margin. If you return before the respawn is set to occur I think it resets the "timer". Ive never run into that problem since I usually revisit a dungeon well past 3 weeks and theres always enemies in there.

What about the quest-related locations? Those always seem to be empty, and some of them I know it's been beyond 3 weeks since I've been to them...

I'm not the only one, am I? I couldn't be. This is an Elder Scrolls game!

Even the quest specific ones respawn. The only thing it doesn't do is scale enemies any higher then when you first entered that dungeon. So a dungeon you entered at level 5 will always contain that levels scaled enemies.

Maybe I just need to wait 24 hours another 30 times. That'll secure it >:C

Probably not done everything just a bit of ego fluffing going on,(I/m taking the "I lucked out not getting bugs" flame bait as proof) if a quest loacation is expecting you to have something in your inventory then it probably can't trigger so may remain empty, nevermind then it means you already did that so it should satisfy your competionist gene.

Move along to something else, that includes another game if you really have done everything without a bug which I doubt.

Flame bait got people to respond, didn't it? Better than getting lost in the 'pages that are not the first' a forth time.

I'm just seeing how much I can get out of Skyrim after doing everything it has to offer, like I did with the previous Elder Scrolls games. Reply value is something that interests me. You don't have to like it as much as I do :{o~

Yeah I only asked because I cannot believe that's even possible. Then again, Oblivion's donkeys years old and I haven't completed every single that in that yet.

Anything is possible with boredom, my friend.

Skyrim has about zero replay value, the only thing you can do is do the same quests over again wit hthe same results but with just different skill sets.

You should try to get one of those random repeatable quests before going into an adventure or try playing Daggerfall if you don't have any phobia to old graphics and controls. About 50% of the quests in Daggerfall are repeatable and dungeons are so big you will become lost inside them, plus you never get the same dungeon twice.
