I vaguely remember seeing a set of gauntlets, in the begining of Skyrim, that increased enchanting level. I've wiki'd it and looked at other websites and a few people have said they remember seeing the same thing. Does anyone know if there is such an item??

You can alchemy potions of enhance enchanting with items of enhance alchemy worn. This is the only enhacement I have found (using potions or elixirs) for enchanting.

I don't remember them but there is a possibility. They probably also cost more than you have at the time you see them. And you probably don't have the lock picking skills to open the case or whatever to get them and they're gone by the time you have the money and or skills to get them. So effectively potions are the only way you can enhance your enchanting ability unless you cheat.

See what I remember is finding the fortify enchanting gauntlets (thats if thats what it was) in the beginning and I think I sold them thinking there will be more later but big mistake!!
I am one of those guys that takes their time and searches every square inch of a place so thats how I think I found them.
Damn what a shame if I sold a one of a kind item...
