enchanting to enchant, smithing to smith!

Hi All,

I am in need of some help and so I have come to the hall of heroes. Where the TES geniuses dwell. I have near enough levelled my character (in chosen areas) to the max. And so I have now started the process of making weapons and armour. And so the questions begin…

1. Basically I need to level my enchanting skill as well as most of my magic skills because I need 9 more perk points to unlock the double enchantment. My question: Does using the oghma infinium when your at a maximum level in a skill push it past 100? (e.g. if I had one-handed skill of 100 would using the oghma put it to 108?).
2. How does double enchanting work? Do you use two soul gems or do you make to medium enchantments?
3. For a ranger using dual swords and a bow, what double enchantments would you recommend?
4. Where can I get a black smith apron? (ideally without murder, if not murder in a discrete place so that I can roleplay like the person never existed)

This is my plan, don’t read if you don’t want to.

35]i. Use oghma to fast level my enchanters level, then craft and enchant rings for the rest. Speed level my magic skills (which are currently low) to gain perks. Buy all the perks in enchanters skill tree.

35]ii. Then make 2 sets of jewellery (necklace and ring), get a smith apron and gloves and then enchant 1 set of jewellery, the apron and gloves with enchanting and smithing skills.

35]iii. Then I will take a set of enchanters potions (all of which I have) and enchant my new swords and bow and the left over ring and necklace whilst wearing my smith/enchantment gear (this way they should have the maximum powered enchantments I can). Then I will take my new weapons and nightingale armour to a forge, take some smithing potions whilst still wearing my smith/enchantment gear and upgrade them to the max.

The only thing I can see I could do would be to repeat process ii repeatedly with a potion to make the strongest rings and gear I can, but then where do you stop?

Looking forward to your replies!

EIght perk not nine
Enchanterx5(for max power), Insightful Enchanter and Corpus Enchanter then Extra Effect.

No

2. How does double enchanting work? Do you use two soul gems or do you make to medium enchantments?
One soul gem enchantments are of equal power.

Thanks dude! I was wondering if anybody would reply.

I am glad about the Oghma, that will save me a lot of time.

oghma infinium does not raise skills over 100,
2 Double enchantments simply let you add two effect, for weapons you has to recharge more often as you only use one gem, this might be an issue with two strong effects.
3 I like frost as it gives an slow effect, paralyze is good to. Soultrap for recharging.
4The clothing shop in Solitude sells two types of blacksmith aprons, you have to wait two days to buy more of them.

Recommend enchanting weapons with banish, if you don't have that use turn undead or absorb health, benefit is that soul gem size has little impact on sales value on weapons and more people buy weapons.

Wait until high skill with the oghma infinium as it's much harder to level up high skills, at enchanting 20 you level up making one thing, at 90 you has to make 10 or something.

Bow: paralysis + frost damage
Swords: life absorb + stam absorb or fire damage

There's one in the blacksmith's house in Solitude, next to the window.

The strongest smithing potion you can make by doing this is +130%
