Ending Credits? Cool Places Not To Miss?

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 10:07 pm

Okay, it looks like I've finished the main story line with Solitude's capture for the Stormcloaks in my case--killed the Imperial general.

Also played out and killed Alduin.

If I've already played out numerous side and miscellaneous quests leading up to Solitude is there anything left undone/unfinished (not counting 3 broken quests and 8 broken inventory items)??

I was expecting ending game credits at some point--are there any??

Anyone care to mention any nifty place they discovered?? My map is covered with places but I still strongly suspect there are many many more I've missed too.

Thanks.

Well there are no credits. I dont think there have been in any TES game I have played ( morrowind and oblivion). also killing alduin was the main quest not the civil war

I suppose that could depend on your point of view and how you ended up playing the game. It was natural in my play to go after the dragon and then get into the civil war... in fact, I hardly started taking sides and playing out any of the civil war quests until after the dragon was done in. The game focussed on a true between Stormcloaks and Imperials in order to take care of Alduin, both sides sounded like after that was finished the truce would be over--and it was. Doesn't matter.

As far as whether there is anything else significant left to play my character around with he reached level 43 as a Nord warrior; discovered 313 locations; completed 102 quests; passed through 467 in-game days; and passed through 448 out-game hours for an average of 13.6 hours/day--sick!

I'd be a lot more interested in playing more if the game was a lot cleaner. For instance, I would finish all the missing words to shouts if those hadn't broken down at Hag's End. Or gone after the Tholmer(sp?) [my character kills them on-sight] if it would accomplish quests/purpose.

I've thought of comparing my in-game map with the wikia map, but do I REALLY want to do that?

1. Killed-off the Dark Brotherhood as soon as I could. I hated the introductory choice Astrid gave me so she was dead. It surprised me how strong my character was at that early point.

2. Completed the Companion quests up to the infinite number of extra quests. Same with becoming Arch Mage. Pretty close to the same with the Thieves Guild.

The game was a lot of fun outside of the broken/bugged stuff which I found very disruptive--in any and every game. It was also very tiring getting stuck between rocks or hanging things and spending minutes on end sometimes breaking free. That's probably what drove 1824 saved games. Usually only kept the last 10 or so. Some load times were long. All this again was on the Xbox 360.

Thank you all for the help. I could never have done so much without the wikia.com too.

No, there is no video to wrap-up the main quest in Skyrim.

They did have one at the end of Oblivion's main quest though with a voice over and soaring views of Cyrodiil with the Oblivion gates shutting down. Its a pity they didn't do something similar for Skyrim.

Daedric quests can be interesting. There are 17 daedric items.

Start a new character and do the dark brotherhood quests with a different set of attributes and perks.

If you are on PC there are already tons of mods that add new content.

There's 17? I thought there were only 15.

There are no credits. There is no real ending either, I would either buy the prima game guide or head on over to the UESP to see what you missed, because honestly, I can't tell just from reading this post what you have and have not done.
