NV enemies: confirmed one's only please.

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 2:59 pm

Ok, i was wondering what people think about the enemies we have confirmed in the game so far.
Be it factions or animals.
What is the best looking enemy so far?
What enemy do think will give you the toughest challenge & why?
What enemy would you like or hope to see first, ( or avoid ) when you start the game.?

This is what i know of so far thats confirmed:

HUMANOID: Ghouls , humans , super mutants , nightkin :
NON-HUMANOID: Big horner , reptile dogs , dogs , molerat:
REPTILES: Gecko , little gecko , golden gecko , fire gecko , deathclaws , mirelurk kings:
ARTHROPODS/ARACHNIDS: Radscorpions , cazador , mantis:

Just give your opinion on the enemies we know of so far: even wether you like or dislike them ,its all fun...but please stick to confirmed enemies please.

I really like the look of the Cazadore. Though, with that said, I'd like to avoid them early on as they look hard to hit (they fly) and my character's aiming skills will likely be pretty crappy, which would probably lead me to being a poisoned corpse.

I like the design of the Nightkin. I'm looking forward to fighting them as I think they'll give me the greatest challenge being stealthy and fast. As for creatures I also do not look forward to seeing mirelurks, but interested in cazadors, mantises, & big horns.

Can't wait to enslave some NCR soldiers.

If the big Cazadore's are 1.5 the size of molerats then I'm going to [censored] my pants meeting them.
They're just... Scary...

Actually, from the second trailer, they just look like retextured Bloat Flies. I'm not terribly excited for them. I'm interested to see what new high-level creatures there are... hopefully something new along the lines of a Deathclaw (in terms of size and threat-level).

Well in another thread I said "For all we know they [Cazadore's] might be as big as molerats".
Sawyer then answered that with "yeah the small one's are about that size."
The point? "the small one's".
I'm sure the big one's are bigger than the one in that trailer and seeing as their poison is something to fear it's one thing that's going to make me cry out "NOOOOOOO!" when I meet them.
Unless they make a massive fail and nerf their poison...

I really hope there are less tanks. There should be a few that make sense, but no more meat shields.

Wonderful thing about RPG, you can make anything you're enemie if you wish. You can make most animals you're friends by having animal friend. Only enemy I can think of are deathclaws (there are exceptions) and bugs..

I like the snake dogs (whatever they're called)

Be nice to have some variety amongst the canine enemies.

Extinct.

I've been saying that a lot before but then I actually started searching for the facts and I couldn't find any.
Didn't look through the whole bible so it might be in there.
Anyway, until we have confirmation that they are extinct it's only speculation.
Irritatingly enough Talking Deathclaws aren't confirmed as extinct either.
Wannamingoes on the other hand are extinct as hell.

And mountain lions, we're talking about household cats, pet cats, the one's that sleep on your face.
I'm sure that mountain lions still exist in a minor ghoulified version.
But pet cats are the one's that we think are extinct.

Th wiki just says that housecats got extince because they were small and could be hunted. Nothing there indicates that all felines are gone.

Maybe the devs don't like cats. Besides, cats aren't exactly very post-apocalyptic though it would be cool if CL had some kind of arena and had a mutant mountain lion. I could go for that. :D

WTF not a single mention of robots. Of course there are the rolling robots around the strip (whatever they're called), but will there be any Sentrybot-like military-esque badass robo mofos?

Well the cazadores sound like the kinda enemy i'll have trouble with. I can never shoot the small flying enemies fast enough without them damaging me, and poison sounds a litlle bit more painfull than bloatfly crap. Geckos sound cool, and fire? Thats always awesome.

Hopefully the trend will continue. I'll be in heaven the day the devs make robots repairable as followers :celebration:

BTW yes I know about Robco Certified...

and no I don't have a decent enough computer :shakehead:
