Enemy Encounters.

SImply put, I think some enemies should have certain specialties to them. What I mean by this for example is; I'd like to see boss type enemies have phases of engagement that you would encounter, similiar to that of games in mmorpgs. I believe this would create more intense and strategically based combat, that can be expirimented with.

Say an enemy boss has THREE phases. You are able to get down phase one, but during phase two, you have trouble so after dieing, you give it another attempt. You approach it differently this time with a new strategy and make it to the third and final stage of the boss encounter, eventually defeating it and claiming your reward.

Any thoughts?

Isn't that all a bit gamey, rather than making sense in the game world? Although thinking about it, OB's Mannimarco could definitely have benefitted from super-tough wraith form after you killed that laughable mortal shell.

That was my most memorable fight from Oblivion.

I don't want to see that much emphasis on the bosses in the Elder Scrolls games. Phases like that are too gimmicky and too mmorpg. If I wanted that I would go back to WoW.

Like you would need to shoot out its eyes or it's heart or maybe throw a turtle shell at it and then jump on it's head?

Someone needs to add Goombas to Skyrim. Seriously.
