Enough is Enough

Just voicing my concern. This game needs to be patched ASAP.

I've never played as buggy a game on the Xbox as this one... Sad, really as I didn't find Fallout 3 nearly as buggy.

I've tried the "clearing of the cache" method and it hasn't produced results.

Here's the issues I've had:

My screen has frozen twice. Had to restart the Xbox both times.
Not allowed to shoot, but auto shooting after exiting menus/conversations/etc... causing me to kill NPCs (had to reload the Xbox).
I've gotten stuck in two places, once on a fence, once in a tree. Had to teleport out of it. Not a big deal, but still bothersome.
The framerate is god awful. It chugs all. the. time.

Please patch this game.

Insulting the game isn't going to produce results. We all agree it needs to be patched, or else we wouldn't -be- here. So calling it a Joke of a game, isn't productive. If you want to be productive, then let Bethesda know by calling them. If you're going to cry like a child, then you're just wasting our time.

Dude who is worst, me for calling this a joke or the developers for selling me a $60 with so many issues. I understand that some games have bugs but for god's sake so many glitches and freezes.

I'm not a kid but a gamer that just wanted to play a game without having to so much troubles, get a grip and be realistic because a game with so many freezes isn't something that you should expect from a game. I am not insulting the devs, I'm stating a fact that is that the quality of this game isn't the best.

I've froze twice and had a weapon glitch. Froze once before clearing cache and once after. Also some loading screens take forever where as others take just a few seconds. Love the game so far but totally needs a patch.

Yep, I agree completely. Obsidian and Bethesda should know by now that there are going to be a ton of bugs yet they still push their games out the door KNOWING it's poor quality. Stuff like this is what makes me angry at internet on consoles as well. Not because having Xbox LIVE is bad, but because developer's are now half-assing games and figuring they'll just patch it "later" if anyone complains. That leaves people like me who don't have LIVE completely screwed for a year.

Apparently the hassle with the bank preventing my online pre-order might not even be worth it. I'll have the CE but won't be playing until the GOTY edition is released with some patches.

not even 2 hours of play and i've gotten stuck in random pieces of the landscape twice, AND can't fast travel out of them because i'm "falling or jumping"

i think in about 1000 hours of playing morrowind, oblivion, and fallout 3 combined this maybe happend 3 times ever?

sorry but thats pathetic

is there an email specifically for complaints like these to help speed up the patch process and make bethesda aware aside from our obvious pissing and moaning on here?

Not that I am aware off. The real problem is here, is the game is not made by bethesda it's made by Obsidian, and Published by Bethessda . So i hope Bethesda tells Obsidian to get there stuff in gear or have Bethesda come in fix up all the problems.

Its going to be especially hard for me to play the game, considering I cant go anyfarther in the game than Goodsprings without having the game completely lock up. I mean, I know bethesda is proud of Goodsprings, but keeping players bascially trapped in it thanks to invisible freeze up walls erected in all directions doesnt warrant the amount of money we all paid for our copies of the game.

I mean, Ive tried heading North, South twards Primm, east, west, NE, NW, SW, SE, and as soon as I get a certain distance from Goodsprings, it freezes up completely. This is ridiculous. FO3 wasnt even this bad at launch!

Well I made the switch to the Xbox version today cause I had so many bad memories of Fallout 3 with DLC on the PS3.

The only glitches I had so far were: Geckos and Coyotes falling into the ground (giant rad scorpions always did this with Fallout 3 on PS3), and shotting the shotgun in the school in Goodsprings at prey mantis and I would keep hearing shot gun blasts, even if I wasn't firing. I haven't really ventured outside of Goodsprings, but I've been making saves incase I get the corrupted save issue.

The other glitch is me, I'm so used to the PS3 controls that I keep firing when I want to go to VATS (opposite buttons on the PS3 vs Xbox)

Ya I agree, no reason to defend yourself were just stating a fact that Obsidian probably didn't test this game a whole lot if at all. With a game as big as Fallout I completely understand some glitches, bugs, problems but I personally have ran into them myself in addition to what I am seeing on the forums like this one.

You can remap the controls in the settings section if you want to make it like you're used to on the PS3.

I have been stuck in a rock that i couldnt get out of. luckily there was an enemy stuck in the same rock that killed me. (never been so happy about dying before) i have froze two or three times, and when i went into the dinosaur to talk to the sniper guy i froze on the way in and corrupted my save. luckily i had saved about an hour before that. i dont wanna jinks myself but i have not had any problems loading the dlc i got. i agree that this ship now patch later mentality is getting old, i understand that no game is 100% perfect, but it seems like more and more games are shipping worse and worse. all in all this is a great game having a helluva time playing it like so many of you i am patiently (maybe not so) waiting for a patch.

Ive gotten very far in it already completed about 7 main quests and ive experienced nothing wrong other than a few ghouls that cannot take damage and lag at a few parts.

if you guys have to restart the game it is pretty much your fault (most of the time) You have to make multiple save games, install onto harddrive, Back the game up thats about all you can do i guess.... Besthesda cannot find ALL of the gliches and bugs all no matter how long they test, And try to make it as clean as possible.
And the reason the game is Soo messed up this way is the factor of how BIG it is.... Its MASSIVE!

I sure im not jinxing myself and right when i go to play again i experience something like this. Im sorry to those who are experiencing this Cursing out Bethesda = :bonk: :brokencomputer:

Seriously dude...you don't know what you're talking about. I have 3 seperate save files I constantly overwrite with the oldest first. For whatever reason, 2/3 are past Novac and they won't even load up. The other one is a couple hours before and that one loads...but I bet as soon as I get past Novac it won't load anymore. Something is seriously wrong with the coding in the game that is causing our save files to screw up. I could agree with you if it was a simple texture issue, but to lose a complete save file multiple times over? That's not our fault...that's a faulty product being released to the public.

I seriously do think we are all the beta testers now. They probably have the mentality of "Why hire testers when we can just use the purchasers? And they pay us!
No other way the game could come through in this state. Unless the beta tester's are all their 10 year old nephews.

If we were just talking about texture issues, I'd say you were overreacting. But the game save stuff and some of the of the game breaking bugs are just inexcusable. If you bought a movie that you couldn't watch, it would be broken. Well, I own a copy of Fallout New Vegas that I can't play because my save files are corrupt and each time I get to a certain point in the game, the saves corrupt. So...it's broken...
