1.4 hopefully

if your on PC then well maybe 1.4 but you should be freezing up if you have a decent GPU and a mediocre CPU

January..

First it was early January

Now its just January

Just hope Bethesda isn't going by Valve time

Are you playing on Windows XP? I had enormaous problems with freezing until I switched to Windows 7. Skyrim is almost as smooth as silk on Windows 7, on my computer.

Windows XP shouldn't cause any issues, windows vista MAYBE (its acclaimed and is worse then XP and 7) but I never had issues when I had vista although I had ultimate version.

Since path 1.3 there have been some improvements, but occasionally when I try and save the game it will freeze. But I'm on ps3 so I expected that. Patch 1.4 will hopefully solve it.

Windows XP shouldn't cause any issues
Before the first patch the game ran horribly on XP. There were massive complaints from XP users in the Hardware forum. I switched to Win7 specifically to avoiding my freezing problems. It's entirely possible that the game runs better on WinXP now, after being patched.

Perhaps my question would better have been phrased: is he playing an unpatched game on Windows XP?

I'm on the PS3. My freezes have happened ONLY in the save dialog. This was unusual to me so lately when it's happened, instead of resetting the PS3 and going on, I'd switch to regular TV for a while to see if it ever came back. Both times I've done that, after waiting 1-15 minutes, it actually DID come back! So maybe they aren't freezes at all, but some kind of hidden activity which takes fricking forever.

Freezes usually happen to me on the loading screens. Hopefully, patch 1.4 comes out soon to fix this
