So I'm trying to get into the college, but i don't want to learn any more magic than i already know. the internets tell me i can just reveal myself to be the Dragonborn and have done. however, i'm not being given that option. i've already gone to the greybeards and I'm in the process of collecting shouts. any suggestions?

There comes a point in Mainquest when you have to enter in college to seek some knowledge in it's library. I think you need to wait until that quest starts.
