EPIC moment during a RADIANT Quest

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 10:22 pm

So, I'm DG and I've been given a "discrete kill" quest in Kynesgrove. I get there and and soon as I see the target, I'm like, "Aw crap, broad daylight and he's hanging out with the people who sleep outside? Crap, How'm I..." Cue. Dragon music... Down swoops a the dragon, lands on the in... I plunk a couple of bolts into it and it takes off. The townsfolk are running will-nilly and the dragon heads for them. The next happened so fast it was amazing... Dragon 180s and swoops down, crossbow ready, I let go a bolt, and wouldn't you know it, someone runs in front of it and drops, dragon right on top of him. One more bowshot and I'm close enough to charge so I close and finish the dragon off. Absorb soul, loot body, resume search for target... nope, where is he? NO! REALLY? Yep, the quest is cleared.

My target actuall ran in between me and my shot at the dragon? Yep, there he is, laying there. So did the dragon landing on him kill him? Nope, there's my bolt right through his throat. EPIC.

Haha, awesome! XD

I was doing the DB quest to kill that guy in Raldbthar, and I snuck around to the platform above and just fired an arrow at him, killing him instantly. When I went down after slowly taking the rest out with arrows and staying hidden, I went down and saw the arrow had gone right through the centre of the back of his skull and was jutting out of his face, and my first thought was "Now THAT is a headshot."

Another reason why this game is brilliant.

One time I was just going to kill someone, and the weirdest thing happened. I pulled out my dagger, and my character started to enter the cut scene to slit the throat, when a arrow out of no one shot the women in the face a killed her. I looked around and there were no enemies, and I used detect life and detect dead, and no one was around.

You sure it wasn't your follower? Sometimes Serana kills an enemy just as I enter the decapitation cutscene so the enemy doesn't actually get decapitated cos they've fallen over before my blade swings around to meet them.

...and corpses of dead people. Comes in handy after you've taken an enemy down but lost sight of the body.

Now if only there were a "Detect Stuff" spell to find whatever it is I'm looking for that went flying when the body hit the table....

Yes, that would be very helpful, maybe a spell that draws all movable clutter to your target, or far away enemies to you if you target them.

My favourite oddity that occurred was when I had to kill a bandit leader so I chased him down and attacked just as he did an attack, I beheaded him and he somehow didn't die and just ran around attacking me while his head kept taunting me.

This must be related to the dragons that don't die bug. I killed a dragon while it was flying and it then refused to land. Just kept circling around.

This is what happens when I post tired. I say stupid things like "corpses of dead people" when I could have just said "corpses."
