Error while loading Skyrim.esm and Update.esm

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 2:51 pm

The title says it all... I can't post a link so I have to do it this way:

MASTERFILE: LOCALIZATION : Lookup failed for ID: 0x00012584 from strings file: STRINGS/Skyrim_ENGLISH.DLSTRINGS

"Yes to all" will disable all Warnings for this context.

EDIT
And if I want to load the cell AbandonedShackInterior Objects, i get this message:

TEXTURES: Missing skin tint texture for Biped Object 30 in 'ExcecutionHoodDBAA', Actor 'DB02Captive1', Race \ NordRace'. Please set this in the armor add-on correctly.

"Yes to all" will disable all Warnings for this context.

Very weird stuff, I wonder if something is missing or what, in the video tutorials there were no errors when he loaded up the creation kit

These are normal. Nothing to worry about.

Click "Yes to all" to bypass. If your localized version of the CK doesn't have "Yes to all," click "Cancel" for the same result.

As to what causes the CK to report these errors, I cannot be 100% certain, but I suspect it has to do with certain cells Bethesda set up as placeholders for things that the game needs to reference, but are not set up for players to actually enter through normal means while playing the game. When we load the game, it references only the cells that we will be entering in a worldspace, or the immediate interior cell we might have been in when we saved the game. But the CK reads EVERYTHING.

The same sort of errors presented themselves with Morrowind and Oblivion.

If you watch closely, you will see that the video was edited at about that time, no doubt to save time and move on to the meat of the tutorial. Loading the ESM is not exactly lightning fast.

thanks for the reply's I just find it baffling that they would leave the error messages in.

even when clicking yes to all, there is about 10 orso different, btw "cancel" doesnt work it will just abort the loading of files.
