Esberns Potion. The Dragon Infusion Perk

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:59 am

Searching gives me no luck. What exactly does the 'Dragon Infusion Perk' do? When i drink it, nothing shows up in 'Active Effects'?

Would you suggest keeping it undrunk untill fixed?

Debatable. I would actually keep a save before you even receive the potion if possible, just to be sure.

I have 756 seprate saves... dont worry about that.
What im worrying about is, if Beth fix it and then go "K. Its fixed but only if you have not yet recieved the potion" and im already 20 hours plus ahead of when i recieved the potion.. everything ive done and got from that point will be gone and have to be done again..

Don't drink it. Wait. Its not even a huge deal anyways.

You have come this far slaying dragons, you'll find waiting for the patch in the future is the most safest and easiest way to be sure.

That would probably be the case. Most of their fixes tend to be preventative, instead of retroactive.

The entire active effects menu is ****ed up as well. instead of mapping equivalent fortifications under one name like in oblivion there is an instance of the effect for every item you wear.

It doesn't matter if you drink it or not. Quest for the potion stays active forever.

I know, that svcks extremely too aswell... Beth need to sort this stuff out, its the only problem i have ever had with this game, unfixed quests and items. Dragons flying backwards and mammoths falling from the sky hasnt really effect me to much xD

Well it's not the only quest doing it. I think the most awful is Rebel's Cairn. Everytime you read "The Legend of Red Eagle" and the quest is finished it starts again and tells you to find Red Eagle's Sword.

I think the perk gives you a % defence from dragon attacks, it's the spell Esbern says to you where you get the extra crit chance vs dragons. Was also under the impression that it was working but not showing up on any interface.

The effect is Dragons do 25% less Melee damage.

I figured it's low on Bethesda's to-do list so personally just manually added the perk via the console after drinking it as I'm playing on PC.
