Ever just slaughtered an entire building because they were d

Okay, yes, I realize that sounds sensational. Let me explain two instances I've had recently.

1) So I'm at the Bard's College in Solitude and I need to "borrow" a book for another quest in Dawnstar. I take it and I'm suddenly being attacked by my fellow Bards. I give one a one word Fus shout when she gets too close, and hightail it out into the street. Cue overeager Solitude guard trying to arrest me. I just stole a book I need for a quest, ain't happening. So I decline his polite offer to accompany me to the local penitentiary and be relieved of my stolen belongings. He attacks, predictably. I shield bash him, and make a mad dash for the gates of the city so I can make a daring getaway. But then I hear Lydia's familiar "I yield!" behind me and I turn to see 3 of them laying the unholy smack down on her. She's down to a sliver of health and I just know she can die from this. So my Imperial saw red and just waded into the middle of them with his legendary daedric sword swinging. When all was said and done, there were 8 guard corpses and a 4,000 gp bounty on my head before we made it out of the city.

2) So I was jazzed when I found the Hall of the Vigilant on my map. I so wanted to go and maybe do some missions for them, since Stendarr is one of my favorite Divines. I get there and find the only thing there of any note is a Restoration trainer. No quests, nothing. So I'm understandably put out. Well, I'm trying to leave one of the rooms I ransacked inspected for cleanliness, and Mjoll is standing in the doorway like a speedbump and she won't move. So I hit her with a Fus that catches one of the Vigilants of Stendarr just standing around. Predictably, the entire lodge attacks.us. Predictably, I kill them all and count it as my light cardio for the day. I ended up reloading that one, but still. Seriously guys?

Has that ever happened to you, an unexpected riot of otherwise friendly NPCs just begging to be monkeystomped?

Yeah, a couple of times I've apparently struck a guard or two when they've gotten between me and a dragon that was attacking. I finished them off and reloaded. Fog of war, idiots, stay the F out of my way.

On one of those occasions when I reloaded I let the dragon kill the guards (Dragon Bridge, I think) then I killed the dragon. Afterward I stripped the dead guards down and I keep their gear in my trophy nightstand.

Edited for spelling.

I had that happen once at Dawnstar. Leaving town to trade with one of the Khajiit caravans and then move on when a dragon swooped in. All of the Khajiit and the town guards start going after the dragon, and of course I join in.

The first time Lydia hits one of the guards who gets in her way, so now we're battling all of the Dawnstar guards after the dragon is dead. I reloaded.

The second time I accidentally tag one of the Khajiit, so I have them going after me after the dragon is dead. Reload again.

The third time, I said "F*** it." Pulled out a bottle of ale and a sweetroll, found a nice little hill and kicked back and watched the entertainment. After everyone finished off the dragon, I strolled over, scooped up its soul, looted it and the two guards it managed to kill, and then cashed in the loot with the Khajiit.
