Hi everyone! First time poster.

I know this is a bug/glitch as i've seen many people discussing this on the internet. but i have a particular question which i can't seem to find answered, which i'm about to ask.

Immediately after I purified Kodlak's spirit in "Glory of the Dead", I threw another witch head into the Flame, as I wanted to cure myself too. I killed my ghost wolf, checked my Powers and Active Effects menus, and all signs of it were gone. Everything's good.

Several missions and 5 levels later, i noticed in the General Stats tab that the "Days as a Werewolf" stat is still counting. I checked everwhere for an answer on the internet, but the only answers i found were to bring up the cosole command. But i'm playing on Xbox.

Here's my question: From looking at the strategy guide and videos on youtube, everyone "purifies" themselves after the "Purify" mission, where you help Farkas & Vilkas become purified. Am i experiencing this glitch because I purified myself at the wrong time, (immediately after purifying Kodlak on the Glory of the Dead" mission), instead of waiting later to do Farkas and Vilkas too?

I was just wanting to know if anyone on here has experienced this, tried both ways (purifying themselves before and after Vilkas/Farkas) and still encountered the same glitch, days still counting as a werewolf.

If it works, I may replay it again, but if the bug is still there even after waiting til i purified them, then i will save myself about 8 hours of gameplay, and just continue on. Im kinda OCD'd about this, but if the bug is still there no matter what then i'll feel alot better! haha

I've tried to do the cure later and let me tell you, if all you have for a problem/glitch is a continuing day counter, consider yourself lucky. By the time I got to start the cure for Vilkas, a glitch caught up the game and put the attempt at getting him and now me cured into an impossible feedback loop. I am stuck as a Werewolf, so is Vilkas, the altar no longer works/activates, and it gave me a ghost follower that doesn't exist but makes all the NPC's not follow me as they think I have a follower already. DEFINATELY CURE YOURSELF FIRST!

@Skullcleaver- Yeah, I do consider myself lucky, as that is one little hiccup i've ever encountered in this game... well, besides the Forsworn Conspiracy problem where there are Markarth Guards stuck in the Temple wanting to arrest me even after the quest is complete. And I still have a $1000 bounty on me that I can't seem to clear even when i pay the fine, all because of that one quest. And one other problem i encountered, but it was my own fault, was i killed the lady (cant remember her name) who wanted to eat human flesh very early on in my campaign. Later on i decided to do the Daedric Quests. I get to the 2nd to last one and find out that i needed her to start the quest. I was like "oh crap, i killed her about 90 hours ago!" i'm so stupid.

This other minor problem is with my 2nd character, i made another campaign so i can complete every achievement.

Thanks Skullcleaver for your reply, i feel bad for ya. I'm really looking forward to the 1.4 patch, hoping it'll fix many of the bugs you and others are having and it won't screw the game up even more like 1.2 did.

i have done this quest both ways but i never checked the days as a werewolf.

i have found that if you remain a werewolf you get the Hircene Staff quest from Aela.

but if you cure yourself after you cure Kodlak you don't get that quest.

Don't worry. I have just checked. I waited a day and from 21 days it passes to 22. Same problem. But the statistics are bugged.

Check in your magic list under power and you will see that Beast Form power has disappeared.

Sleep and you'll see that you get now the well rested bonus in the Active Effects. So you are no more a werewolf.
