Everyone with Terrible PC Issues Read Here!

Please get a better PC because most of the spec's people are posting on here are actually below the recommended spec's for the game which will cause issues playing. If you are too stupid to realize this then you my friend are a purple hippo

I got a ATI Radeon 4870 and a 3 Ghz processor... well a decent computer which should run Brink perfectly, and I still have an issue. It's not the spec's "recommandation"... it's the game.

>below recommended specs mean issues

>below recommended specs

>completely ignoring minimum requirements

>minimum requirements now mean if you have this or anything higher around here it will not work

>science has been performed

So I have a gateway FX6840,

processor: intel core i7 870 @2.93GHz 2.93Ghz

8.00 GB of ram

video card is an ati radeon HD 5750, memory size 1024MB

and I use windows 7 home premium 64-bit

I have checked for newer drivers for my video card and the two that I have found actually don't work.

The issue I have running brink isn't the cinematic's, it's in game. I get somewhere around 10fps or sometimes lower.
I'm about to nerd rage what do?

THIS JUST IN FOR AMD/ATI USERS - Taken from the Splash Damage forums.

AMD Catalyst 11.5a hotfix has been released today, with a specific fix for Brink.
"Includes performance optimizations and resolves various quality issues for the upcoming release of Brink?"

A guess was thrown out to me that it might be my processor, which I guess would make sense since I run the cinematic's fine and while I'm at the character creation screen everything looks fine.
But as soon as i get into a game its just bad times. I even made a LAN game to see if it was maybe the servers, but it still lags. When in game, even when I hit esc and it pauses, my mouse lags. I don't know what to do about it. But even if it is my processor that would be upsetting since it should be more than enough to run the game.

seems all ATI OpenGL issues..
wait for your new driver fix.

this is the problem with OpenGL it's VERY sensitive to drivers/hardware.
rather deal with DX based games any day of the week.

I'm not installing that POS on my comp again, it caused my system to BSOD.

Try disabling everything and running at a lower rez until they come out with a fix, especially if you an ATi user. Something might be bottlenecking it.

i run a
xp pro 2002 sp 3
AMD Phenom II X4 955
3.20 GHz, 3.00 GB ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295
and it is well above requirements but i cant even start brink it crashes at initial load screen

besides i would think anything that would hurt normal play on low settings would be covered with minimum requirements not recommended

My friend is playing it on minimum required specs.
It runs fine for him.
Your logic is flawed.
