Excuse me?

It was asked numerous times if you guys would be releasing DLC on the ps3 as well as the 360 unlike for fallout 3. And you [censored]s said that you would announce that in time. And now the day of release that DLC is gonna be exclusive to 360? excuse me, but [censored] you too bethesda. I love your games but seriously? waiting until preorders are shipped and paid for to tell ps3 players that truthfully you care very little for us? I am expecting to get the game within an hour or 2. and my enthusiasm for the game just spiralled downward. I suppose it will be as buggy an experience as fallout 3 was. Minimal effort and maximal profit? gee thanks. Maybe I should be looking into returning the game before I open it..

If Bethesda wants to make it up to us, they can do so by giving day 1 owners of FO:NV DLC at a 50% or higher reduced price.

DLC is coming for your platform of choice, I'm sure of it. Microsoft is just cutting deals with devs; throwing money at them in order to cut in line and to have exclusives.

You'll note, Microsoft owns Windows, and yet it's the bastard child to them that they don't do a darn thing for. This is M$'s love affair with XB360.

Sure ps3 may get the DLC someday, but its probably a year from now. when frankly there will be other games to look at. Just disappointing that when asked they chose not to comment, and warn us ahead of time. And drop that info on release day to everybody who preordered. Had high hopes they learned from last time. But I guess the money M$ threw at them was better than they thought ps3 fans are worth. I'm assuming that DLC will also be on computer, thats how it worked with FO3 did it not?

I hear ya man, and I feel bad for PS3 owners especially.

Even if they had struck a deal for MY platform of choice (PC), I would still feel bad; All these deal do is break down the community and segregate us. I've yet to find a developer who'll turn down M$'s offerings of extra money in order to get exclusive things for XB360 because, very sad as it is, today's generation seems to thrive on the want of exclusive content, customizations and the like. Devs want it just for the money, there's no mystery there; they are a business, they want to make money.

Plus a lot of community members don't put their money where their mouth is; if they swear to not buy a product due to mistreatment of the community, it seems they are first in line when a new product comes out from the same developer. As a consumer, refusal to do business is the most power we have; but it only matters when we do so in droves.

Oh, I know. This will be locked, as there have been tons of threads on this, and I believe there's an "official" discussion going.

But this is a new low. I'm on PC, and I'm quite disappointed.

Well, the DLC for the PC is being handled by Valve via Steam this time, so that's probably why the PC users aren't getting it. It's not going through Live.

I don't agree with the decision either...I think it stinks (PC user, but feel for the PS3 folks as well). Just to play devil's advocate here, though, I wonder if it's MS exclusive because MS actually bankrolled the development of the DLC. If that's the case I guess in a weird way MS "owns" it. I'm just speculating, though.

It's a possibility. Problem is, they never tell anyone, so it's left to speculation. IF M$ did bankroll it, I'm sure a lot more of us would have less grief, simply because we knew the how-comes and whys of it.
