Expansions announced yet?

Blood on the ice works fine for me. xbox always gets dlc first anyway. so bring it on.

want me to bring it on? ok i will the majority of copies was bought for PC a smaller number for Xbox and presumably equal number for PS3, ps3 and pc still have some bugs to work out. Xbox on the other hand being The bloody game was designed with the Xbox in mind is the one with the least glitches. TES was originally a pc game now its more a console one tested on the Xbox and ported to pc and ps3. bill gates is paying for your "month exclusivity" but the funny thing is you have to wait being your consoles copies are the only ones working properly.

kyrim was too short

Really ? I'm 220 hours in, I'm not a full member of either the Companions, thiefs or mages guild yet. I've done 1 bard quest, 7 or 8 DB quests, I've still got to go to Kynesgrove on the MQ, I've cleared 52 dungeons. I've not really explored Falkreath, Markarth or Riften properley yet. I'm level 51. I think I'll get another 150 hours at least out of Skyrim on top of my 220 already played.

Well they have just released a patch...and intend releasing more...as well as tools to allow us to alter the game in any way we like...even build a new game. I dont know what more you can want. I have 90 hours up and no problems. I read loads of post from people saying they have hundreds of hours up and no problems.
But most of all...remember...this is a computer game....a program in a computer. Reflect on that. I bet you can see loads of glitches in any game (or program) you choose to scrutinise with your critical eye; in the real world too. Living and playing life and compouter games requires a little cooperation with things...and in computer games a suspension of the overly critical attitude you seem to have.
None of those who enjoy the game are saying it's perfect...the modding community will have lots of scope to improve almost every aspect of the game; but Bethesda have produced one of the finest games ever...(but not perfect).
I'm awed and grateful to them.
What pisses me off most of all is the graceless spoilt brat attitude of entitlement that comes across is so many negative posts on this forum...
(I am not necessarily including you in that assessment)

Bethesda got their retaliation in early..."let me guess...someone stole your sweetroll"
I totally agree with you on this, some people just have nothing better to do, cry and wine over a game.
I understand there are bugs, but some blow it out of proportion I think. I may not have played long, 61 hours, and on lvl 28, xbox360, beat the main quest. The only problems I really had so far is freezing, about 5 times in the 60 hrs, I would have to reset the game couldn't do anything, some texture glitches, my character getting stuck in tight spots and having to reload it, and ive seen a flying mammoth. These things arent gamebreakers for me, are they annoying to me, yes, especially the freezing issue. But hey, its a game and they are working on the issues. Im not gonna get all huffy and rant and rave on here................u got in right Davian, Bethesda got their retaliation in early..."let me guess...someone stole your sweetroll".. If your game is that bugged, I would return it.

Yes I have had 5 or 6 freezes too in my 90hrs that required a system reboot (PC). But I shrug them off since they are rare and I routinely save as I go along so I never lose too much progress. Generally I am really impressed at how well the game runs; and all the subtle touches the developers have loaded into the world. It really pays to take your time; look around; pick some flowers; etc...and avoid using fast travel for the most part. Also, I dont follow the quest lines in a rushed linear way. I'm playing the game as I think it is designed to be played...radiantly. This style of play is very counter intutive to FPS fans...it confuses them...they are used to fast and clearly signposted linear progression. Each to their own.
There are loads of improvements I can see scope for; and I already have some great mods that fix some of the worst design decisions of Bethesda (SkyUI especially...the vanilla UI is truly awful). There is need of a major overhaul of the journal system too imo. I'm really looking forward to seeing and experiencing where the modding community will take this amazing game.

Bill Gates isn't at MS anymore btw.

What is this about PC getting more sales? From what I've seen, as of last month, Xbox has over 5 million copies sold. PC is just under 2 million. PS3 at 3 mill.

I am very well aware of them I frequent them often. Thanks for the gesture of good will.

I just think its worth noting to those that think expansions should cone first that bugs and glitches should be fixed and patched first. There is only a few post in various threads regarding bugs they are worth mentioning if they pertain in some way to the topic, as ling as its constructive and the as long as the person posting does not go over the deep end being rude.

Asking IF DLC has been announced does not mean a person is saying that they should be a higher priority, come first, etc, so your point is fairly moot.

Also, I personally think it'd be kinda cool if they could make a feature in the house where you can loot the dragon head and mount it on your wall in your house over your fire place

That is THE coolest idea I've ever heard.

As for the other animals, no.

he still owns the share... in the last month isn't really valid either Xbox is the least buggy so it makes sense it sold more "in the last month." that isn't even the point of my response however. the point is there are still too many buggy copies for a expansion to be released.

The issue I have with expansions is that the game is mostly in need of some massive scripting overhauls when it comes to existing quests and NPC interaction.

If they released an expansion that overhauled a majority of the game systems, it would be worth it.

As for the game being short, it took me about 37 hours to finish the MQ, hit level 54, finish the Companions, become Thane of three holds, finish the Civil War, and exhaust most side quests in the major towns. This is with no fast travel.

The game isn't short in hours, but it has little to no impact as a story, making it seem shorter than other games of a similar length. It's similar to an MMORPG in the sense that you can spend a lot of hours playing without it actually meaning anything.

I'm still amazed that people make it to 200+ hours. Daggerfall was the last TES game that I made it to that number on (probably much more). Morrowind lasted about 20 at most, then another 10 when I eventually came back and burned through the MQ just to say I finished it. Oblivion I put in around 100, and Skyrim will depend on mods to get there.

350+ hours here without a single crash or bug and no lag issues. I play on the PC and run multiple work related programs in the background, constantly switching back and forth for 8-10 hours a day. For such a huge game the stability is award winning imo.

I'm hoping for an announcement on what the expansion will be after 1.4 releases.

I have literally completed every quest, explored every location. I haven't played Skyrim in over a month because of this. I am dying for some DLC. Skyrim is probably the best game I have ever played.

Thank god Kingdoms of Amalur comes out tommorrow. That should keep me busy for a few months until Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim DLC. Kingdoms of Amalur might even be a big surprise. It looks awesome. Skyrim awesome. The combat of what I have seen is even better then Skyrim, and the lore seems quality. Big huge world, etc. Surprising for an EA published game.

Did not say that, there is nothing wrong with saying that bugs should be fixed before any expansion, this conversation is moot as again we have both very different opinions on what should be posted in a topic.

Doubt it, but even so you can make endless characters with different builds and roleplays.

Anyhow, I'm hoping the big surprise tomorrow is a DLC announcement.

I am curious about Kingdoms of Amalur, I think it looks good. I am kind of leery about the quality of it because its an EA game set in an open world. I am hoping now that there is competition out there they will pack there games with more content and depth and less bugs.

i'm at a point, where i would love the DLC.

Finished mai nquests month ago, pretty much just go around, walk from town to town, beating down bandits, dragons, etc.

All i know, is the DLC better have a lot more creatures. So few creatures in this game.
