I started the college questline on my new Altmer pure mage but i beat it as my dunmer spellsword before. I remember how hard the labrynthian was with the undead dragon and the dragon priest and all that jazz but how should I prepare for it this time? I'm pretty sure it would be harder for a pure mage than a spell sword. I plan on stocking up on alot of potions and bringing scrolls with high level spells on them (fire wall, or fire storm?) maybe even a few fireball scrolls along with mass paralysis. Can anyone help me prepare? Thanks in advance

I did it with a pure mage. I had already gotten the slow time shout, it really helped with the Dragon Priest at the end. It was a long fight, I think I slowed time three or four times before I got him down.

That is a very useful shout but I have not started the MQ on this character so therefore I have no access to shouts.

I found the first battle against that bonedragon and all the others to actually be harder than beating morokei. I used some of the scrolls from Jzaarra that i was supposed to test and they seemed to be helpful, killing off all the minions that got close to me. For morokei i made use of some shock resist gear and the sanguine rose.

So far it sounds like i should stock up on some dragon shouts,and get good scrolls. I also plan on taking Faendal with me, BTW can Faendal die like lydia can?

What sort of level are you? I did this around lvl20 1st play through on altmer Mage and the bone dragon was down in maybe 10 seconds... Conjuration can be incredibly powerful.
As for morokei, I mainly stood up on the platforms where the mages were containing him from, firing destruction while dremora lord tanked (re-conjuring when needed).

All followers can die if they're on fire, poisoned or caught in AoE when they go down on a knee, or if you damage them.
Otherwise, they'll get better after a bit.

Bring lots of health/mana potions, resistance potions (iirc, that priest casts mostly shock spells?) and perhaps some summon ice/storm atronach scrolls.
Get your follower some resistance gear as well, and they'll last much longer.

if you want to take the room with the undead dragon in really easy..you can run in quick so they spawn then run out..then stand by the gate lever and open it shot a spell and it will close, open shoot spell close

This is exactly how I did it on my level 1 playthrough. Not sporting, but hey, I was level 1!

For a normal playthrough, since the place is crawling with undead, fire works well and a few flame atronachs work wonders to clear things pretty quickly. For the priest, if you are preparing, bring shock + magic resist, he does almost all shock damage with those bolts.
