Explanation of Render-window behaviour

Post » Thu Jul 07, 2011 3:37 pm

Hi there everybody,

I just came across a rather annyoing behaviour of the GECK and I have no idea why it does it. Maybe somebody in here can get me some clarification, and maybe even a solution to this:

I basically edit a wordlspace, deselect a static item and the GECK cuts out some cells in the distant, wich it shouldn′t do. I made a video of it to clarify:

There hopefully is an option to disable this?

Thanks!

The cells rendered are centered around:
1. Selected item in the render window.
2.else the Cell the camera is currently in.

To elaborate on what WillieSea said; The GECK only renders a 5x5 square of exterior cells. It centers on a cell depending on the two conditions listed above and loads the additional 24 cells surrounding the chosen one.
