Explosive Arrows

Currently, i am working on creating explosive arrows at a crafting station.
I have already created all the requirements needed for this, however the issue is how the explosion impacts on the target.

My test objects are
Hadvar (npc at Helgan) 171 health,
a long bow
normal iron arrow
explosive arrow (duplicated from iron arrow)
archery perk at 1

when shooting Hadvar (in the foot, head, anywhere) damage done is 5.57

However, when i use the explosive arrow , the damage done increases the closer the arrow impacts to the ground

I have altered various settings in the Explosion profile, but no matter what i alter, i can not seem to get the explosion to center where the arrow impacts, or to get the damage to remain constant.

I have no experience when it comes to scripting so have been trying to avoid that altogether for the time being.

Any pointers in the right direction would be welcome

Thats just the way the game works. any actor's X Y and Z locations are at those little yellow + signs you see in the editor. Everything about any object is based off of THAT position. In addition, every model and reference point is based off of that position.

Sorry. This is just how the game works. There is absolutely no fix for this.

Just offering a hairball thought... but what if you make the explosion a spell effect like Fireball? Unless Fireball happens to be more powerful when you hit them in the feet. Hmm I should try that.
