I am wondering is there a way to get rid off expose Maven to the Arl of Riften. I am wondering since the npc Lion Heart knows how "dirty" she is.

Unfortunately no. The best you can do is remove her essential flag and kill her.(This will break some quests)

Nope, can't get rid of Maven, can't kill her (without console commands), can't do anything about the corruption in Riften.

That's what you get when you help the Empire.

You can wipe out the Skoma trade, kill thieves, and a bunch of thieves in the Ratway and the Warren.

I think the thieves guild is a much better organization after you finish.

Yeah.

The irony a lot of players seem to miss is that the Thieves Guild in Riften is such a collection of scumbags because Maven and Mercer rule it.

After you take over, YOU rule it.

Wow. I didn't support 'them' on my 1st character, wasn't leaning towards them for future characters, but now I know I'm not ever siding with them.

Oddly, my crowning moment of awesome in the game was watching how UNCOMFORTABLE Maven is at your ascension ceremony. Why? Because she's a FULL MEMBER OF THE GUILD.

She has to do what you say now and her squirming....was glorious.

Maven is sitting off on a barrel away from the rest of the Cistern, looking down and terribly uncomfortable.

"Yes, well, I suppose congratulations are in order."

*mutter mutter*

Of course, afterwards, she's back to her usual [censored] off self but if you did both the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quests PLUS kept your tie with the elder Councimen - essentially Maven Black Briar has NOTHING that you don't control.

Even if she's Jarl, you OWN her.

I think the problem in Riften is actually sort of hilarious. Everyone blames the Thieves Guild for all that's wrong with the town but it's actually only like 6 guys when there's like 8 or 9 unrelated operations on the town.

Why?

Because nearly EVERYONE IN THE TOWN is evil.

And this changes how things are run with the puppet Laila Law-giver.... how? Nothing really changes in the political power structure of Riften should Maven take over.

Riften is the U-Bend of Skyrim, regardless of who comes out on top in the Civil War.

There's a serious question in my mind whether Lalia Law-giver is ignorant or just outright taking the [censored] with all her, "yes yes, terrible business about the Thieves Guild."

At least the Jarl of Falkreath is open about being a scumbag.

Listen to her banter with her steward. Also, talk to her sons.

She's a clueless puppet through and through.

I was okay with Maven right up until the embassy.

"You're collaborating with the Nazis? Seriously?"

If you talk to others at the party, you get the gist that an invite to the Embassy part isn't exactly something you should RSVP "no" to.

Even a big fish knows to steer clear of the even bigger fish.

Maven was all, "I love making new friends."

Oh Maven, I may have to replace you with your daughter toot-sweet.

There is seriously some missing dialogue when you take over the Dark brotherhood, Thieves Guild, assassinate the Emperor, and win the civil war with the Stormcloak/Imperials. There just needs to be a "gloat and dance" conversation with Maven after that.

You got connections? I RUN your connections. You got political ties? I'm a military officer and a thane in every hold! You got money? I waltz around with 200 grand cash, and probably got another 200 grand in random items sitting in chests. Based on how "wealthy" typical NPC's talk talks about being as opposed to how much wealth they really have, going to go ahead and say I'm 99% sure I'm more loaded than the whole black-briar family. Oh yeah, and I'm the dragonborn, arch-mage, harbinger of the Companions, and a billion other titles bestowed upon me.


Come at me Maven.

No, I Want to see Maven in PAIN. GRIEVING PAIN.
I Want to Kill her Children and Drag them naked around town for everyone, including her, to See.
I Want her to beg and Cry for her life, Then Imma KILL her too and stuff it in a Barrel and let DOGS eat it.
