Does the soldier's Extra Mag ability increase ammo by the current magazine of the weapon, or does it just increase it by the base clip size?

For example: There are four players; A, B, C, and S. Player A has a unmodified Galactic SMG (45 rounds), player B has a Galactic with High-Capacity Mag (67 rounds), and player C has a Galactic with Drum Mag (90 rounds). Player S is the soldier.

If he buffs each player, will they just gain 45 shots or will they each gain ammo equal to their respective clip sizes? (A gets 45 rounds, B gets 67, and C gets 90.)

The maximum ammo count is always the same, afaik.

No. The ability only affects the ammo reserve, not the clip.

the extra magazine ability gives the player 1 extra magazine to the average ability. That means the player gets his ammo refill + 2 extra mags for both secondary and primary weapons.

Command post: Refill base ammo (6 clips for the Carb)
Normal soldier buff: Refill base ammo + 1 clip for each weapon (7 clips of mag for the Carb)
Ability bonus: Refill base ammo + 2 clips for each weapon (8 clips of mag for the Carb)

Very useful on defense.

I'll restate my question and use a better example. Does this skill increase total ammo by the BASE MAG, or the CURRENT MAG.

The Belgo MP has 20 rounds in a basic mag, but 30 rounds in a High capacity mag. So, the ammo is setup like this;

Clip+ Reserve = Total
20_____40_____8060
30_____30_____8060

If the reserve ammo is increased by the size of the regular mag, each would get 20 extra shots.

Clip + Reserve = Total
20_____40+20____80
30_____30+20____80
However, if the reserve ammo is increased by the current mag being used, a different amount of ammo would be given.

Clip + Reserve = Total
20_____40+20_____80
30_____30+30_____90
