Face presets question

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:18 am

I'm one of those ludicrously obsessive gamers who's got to get their character just right. In F3 I always used a particular preset (female 10) and I was really hoping it would be available for NV but it's not. All the ones that are available are hideous in my opinion. So I thought I might be able to copy the preset from F3 to NV. I started a F3 game, selected the preset, hit Customise and made a note of the slider positions on all the settings. Then started a NV game and set all the sliders. But for some reason it didn't work. The sliders don't seem to be in sync in both games.

I'm on the 360, is there any way I can copy a preset from F3 to NV? Or is there a facepack on the way that will add some more? Anything? Anything at all?

I know you don't even see your own face unless you purposely swing the camera around and look, but I used to like to do that to admire myself. I'd enjoy the game a lot more if I could just get my face right.

I've tried to make my own of course but I'm just no good at it. Has anyone had any luck making a face themselves that they're happy with?

Cheers.

I have to say that the personalization system is one of the weakest points of the game. The tiny window for your face... it is far better than FO3, but still lacking... and what you wear is pretty restricted if you don't perk strong back and carry social and battle armor.

Pretty sure your out of luck. Even those crafty PC modders can't directly import their old faces (or so I've read). Some people are really skilled making custom faces, but that is a skill I seriously lack. I ended up using the premade face 6 for my female, though it kind of looks like she has a mustache from far away... I've pretty much given up having a decent looking character.

EDIT: Have to agree with the above. Its times like these that make me wish I was still playing Morrowind.
