anyone else agree? as im a dark elf one my lvl 43 account and a high elf on my new account i just started, and im always an elf, i seem to like elves and faendal is a boss. especially how he says "Greetings brother elf, it's good to see a familiar face far from home." makes me feel united with elves!
i gave him a full set of elven guilded armor legendary witth archery and sneaking enchantment and a daeddric bow and i kik back and go hunting with him all the time.
what are your thoughts?

I like Faendal as a companion too. It was nice to have an elven character acknowledge and seem to be happy to see another elf. My character is a female high elf mage, and none of the other high elves give a toss or are remotely more friendlier to me now than when I played first as a Nord battlemaiden. And it just made me hate the thalmor even more when they were just as snotty and condescending.

But although I like Faendal, my favourite follower is probably Erandur, the dark elf priest of Mara.

Faendal used to be my first follower too, but I believe they don't scale with you, so I run with Cicero now. On my new Nord character he is a great help from a distance.

Yeah it just seems as though the Thalmor are arrogant fools that are so patriotic the only High Elves they care about, are other Thalmor, and you cant be Thalmor -.-
and yeah Faendal is the best, he is a good elf friend.
Erandur is cool too.
I like Draynvea the Stone Weaver or whatever her name is i married her coz she said some along the lines of "You and me are alike, we are from the same place; Morrowind" or something like that, i just think all elves should unite.

yeah cicero is good as i let him live coz as i played oblivion and morrowind i go by the old ways of the Dark Brotherhood; The Black Hand, and Astrid didnt go by that and insulted the Night Mother and all Cicero was trying to do was honor her and bring back the true way of the Brotherhood.

It is funny - the first quest I ever came across was that silly love letter thing with Faendal and Sven. I thought that it was so stupid and absurd that the Elf created a false letter that I just walked away from the whole thing.

I use the Companions and Lydia mostly now, but there are a lot of other possibilities.

I betrayed Sven by giving Camilla the letter, then took Faendal to the shrine of Boethia where he died in a very unboss-like manner. Then I married Camilla.

hahahahahaahh a very funny topic. Yeah he is a very cool chaarcter. But i don't like him anyome, he asked me to give a fake letter to the girl from the golden claw( forgot names) as well Sven asked me the same thing. I gaved Faendal to Boethiah.

Me: Can you train me in archery?
Faendal: I'll teach you what I know! For a modest fee, of course.
Me: Certainly my friend. Say, Faendal, I need to trade some things with you...

Actually, I think I am in love.

I don't give her any helms that might cover up her face.

Maybe I just love helpless females, or maybe it is just the way she says "oh!" when I get face to face with her.

Yeah I used to run with Faendal too, until he started to get his ass kicked around level 12 or so. So, I outfitted him in fancy gear and now he guards Riverwood.

I sided with Sven because I didn't really know what I was doing in that quest. I wanted them both to get in trouble with the lady for being so spiteful and lying about each other. I should have just helped Faendal out as he is indeed pretty boss.

is this the place to admit he levels my archery as a follower so I can have my money back and... well... yeah.

I mean, I DID set him up with Camilla... they're always together and I got her brother back the claw, so they're both feeling prosperous and lucky and stuff... but... yeah. I kinda take back my training money and use the poor guy for levels.

I liked Faendal because I read his fake letter.

I felt it was wittier than Sven's.

If it's the same line that Jenassa says ("we are the same kind, you and I, I am glad to have met you") then she says it to Nords, too. LOL

On the OP, Faendal and Sven are both dorks and troll fodder. The game has a severe lack of b/a elf men.

He is one of the best followrs when you let him wear the Stormcloak armor. (I know it's not the strongest.)
