just wondering what the advanced players of fallout 3 think of the lag as you get to the higher levels of the game, i found it extremley annoying, and the amount of times my ps3 froze due to it.do you think new vagas should have sorted out the lag?

They just have to work out the multiprocessing, I don't know anything about it really, but I'm sure there won't be lags.

Also, the room where you play the ps3 might be really hot after long playing sessions, you might want to open a window or find a cooler room.

It shouldnt have to do with how high of a level you are. Most know that the PS3 GOTY had several bugs in it. While I wouldnt call it "lag", its more of a stutter. The most probable source of the stutter on the PS3/Xbox would be the save game bloat. On PC, if your hardware could handle the game decently, it can be due to the IOPS on the hard drive.

I keep hearing that it has something to do with the size of your save files, and that it increases as they get close to 10 meg. Something about there being too much data for the available cache. If they can cut down on the ammount of world objects that get tracked in your saves, it should improve things. At least that's what I've derived from my very poor understanding of the problem.
