well as I sit drinking my coffee letting my 6 th Xbox cool down from the many hours of playing it reading these post a thought hit me I got the first Xbox for my kids then started to see the levels of the games coming out. So I got one to use here at the fire station in the break room. I soon noted that it was a huge hit with the rest of the firemen here so I thought ok cool this will let the folks distress after some of the bad calls we go on. I got a ps3 and a game cube and added 2 more TV’s to the lounge. It wasn’t very long after that I saw my guys just playing the Xbox as a main game console so I replaced the other 2 with Xbox’s then the issue came as to what games to get for the station. I had seen the first fallout so I thought why not and as they say the rest is history. I brought in fallout 3 then added all the DLC’s for it then Vegas came out and we have added all the DLC’s for it also. It has been a great stress reliever here at the station. With many side benefits for our station as in I don’t have to ask for or fight with folks to fill empty shifts anymore. Now we have a list of folks wanting the shifts. I am by no means saying that fallout is the only game that gets played here. But without a doubt it is the most played. I will also say I have become a huge fan of the whole fallout game sets. Do I or my guys really care witch of the two companies made the games or who did what? The answer is no. we are not a bunch of little kids here trust me many of us are old enough to be your fathers or grandfathers. With the amount of high stress in our job when a game like this can help my guys do the day to day job. It’s golden in my book .even the bugs, glitches etc…included. So I look at it this way if they did not make this game many of these folks would just find other things to [censored] about. As in the old saying they would complain about been hung with a new rope. In closing we pay for these games out of our own money also for the TV’s and all the other things needed to have something to relax with in-between calls. I feel it is some of the best money we have ever spent. So if you all not want or like the games send them to our fire station we will take them. Be thankful these folks make games and try and tell them what you like not what is wrong all the time.

I'm a fireman to, we use the time we are not training or reponding to calls to relax no one is made of iron and our shifts are quite nasty some times :confused:

I find it easier to [censored] about the problems than to thank for the good things as I find problems in just about everything.
So I'll keep complaining thank you.

OP Im glad video games are making an impact in the world other than being " the devil. " I usually say good and bad things about these games, but like Gabe says it is easier to [censored] about what you don t like. I have had my fare share of good things to say though.

I agree, Sgt. Darkman...I am a die-hard Fallout fan through and through. The main thing I love about Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas is the replay value of these games. There are so many variations and options in both games...I haven't stopped playing either one...and in every playthrough, I always end up finding something new I had never seen before.

I've also found Fallout a good stress reliever, I'm not a fireman or anything like that but I have emotional problems and video games like Fallout are great ways to release stress. Its been my favorite series since I played Fallout 3 the day it came out, despite the bugs and everything else. I have to say, though, its pretty awesome that you guys favored Fallout and Xbox's over anything else, lol.

Imagine if the Brakes on the Fire Engine didn't work while you were out on a call and you had been saying that they needed to be looked at for the past week. The People on here are complaining and letting the Developers know that the proverbial brakes are out.

However where aren't lacking those people who love to pull the fire alarm in a store half way across town because they think it's funny to wake up all the fireman in the middle of the night.

i also agree. i think both games are [censored] tops...i do think the engine is now prehistoric and shouldn't be used in FO4 but that has no impact on how much i love the games. i got a fallout tattoo for #$%@ sake

This may possibly be the single most disrespectful comment I've seen on this board. It is also possibly the most unintelligent - that's counting the multitude of comments I've read that make me question the level of literacy on internet boards. This man is a FIREMAN, i.e. a man who does a job for far too low an amount of compensation in order to keep people like you (i.e. those with "no responsibilities") safe. This man deserves respect of the same order as police, emt, and military individuals. When he wants to relax, he will relax as he pleases and will deserve to do so in whatever way he chooses. I am not any of the previously mentioned, but I have the utmost respect for those who choose these career paths. I urge you to grow up, child.

Its surprising to discover that people play games from all over, you shouldn't be giving this guy a hard time. As for disrespect, he indicated that a fireman had great responsiblity, this was implied when he stated he thought people who played games had no responsibility (which is also a subtle knock on people who play games including himself). Furthermore don't call people children when you know nothing about them, it is insulting.
