Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:41 am

I'm wondering which game is going to sell the most?
In my opinion, there both fantastic games, but i'm am more fond of Fallout than Halo. :vaultboy:

The question you ask in the poll 'which one is better?' is highly subjective and the result should be obvious, considering the boards we're on.
As for what title will sell the most, I'm quite bad at predictions, so I'll refrain from making one, but they're both well-established franchises (though Halo had quite more titles to create its base, while Fallout has a very split one, and its success as a franchise depends almost singe-handedly from the sales of the 3rd game), so who knows.

I don't play Halo, therefore do not know about it so Reach would be a complete waste of money. I prefer Fallout for its endless choices.

I like both titles, and will probably buy both at some point in time.

Initially, I think Reach will outsell NV by a long shot just because of the Halo-mania that ensues when a new Halo title is released. However, over the course of 6-12 months, NV should come back to competitive circumstances with Reach.

Keep in mind though, that the two games couldn't be more opposite from each other, and there's definitely more gamers that would rather pick up a quick, online-kill-your-friends-shooter, than a lengthy RPG.

Hehe...it'd be interesting to post the same poll in a Halo forum and compare results.

I personally completely lost interest in the Halo series after Halo 2, and before that they didn't really draw me in as much as other shooters did. I'm firmly planted in the "meh" camp.

Never liked halo, don't have an xbox, and the pc ports were total garbage. For me, the old unreal tournies scratch the twich fps itch far better than halo ever could.
That said, it's fo:nv all the way.

Bad Poll topic - we are being asked to Vote for a game that no one has even seen yet!

Talk about putting the cart in front of the horse...

My vote is, "I don't know yet".

I prefer Fallout definately, but looking at the original question, "What will sell more" Its got to be Halo Reach, it will be the biggest game of the year despite all of our personal opinion, the Halo fanbase is too large, look at Halo 3, a game thats over 3 years old, and it still has users in the tens of thousands. but still, Fallout ftw.

It was not supposed to be taken subjectively. It's the viewers opinion, and that's all.

Yeah, but we have nothing to base it on, other than "hey, this is a Fallout:NV forum. Gee, what will people pick." :)

(Personally, I know nothing about Halo:Reach. Is it another FPS? A Tom Clancy type squad game? An RTS? An RPG? Dunno, haven't paid any attention. Only played Halo 1, and then they made the PC version of 2 require Vista. So much for that.)

Well, actually people have seen it. There is a multiplayer beta going on right now. All of the people I talk to seem to like Fallout and Halo, but it is alot different in this topic...

Voted Halo... It's gonna be epic.

If I liked fallout, I'd hang out on the fallout forums....

Yeah, then why are you here anyway? (It is going to be epic, but New Vegas will succeed above Reach in my book)

@OP
And I'm not even being sarcastic...

In all seriousness: What kind of result did you expect here? Something tells me that the Fallout fans (on a fallout forum) are gonna pick Fallout, regardless of the other game you're asking about...

Why, why do you have to pick the one option no one would. xD

A mediocre, highly overrated, repetitive-to-a-fault shooter, with some decent vehicles. A bit slow pace for a shooter, boring single player but people claim the multiplayer is awesome. Well, I played the multiplayer and failed to detect any significant levels of awesomeness. Mediocre. Loved by many for some reason.

I felt that way as well, however i did enjoy the first game but after that it just went downhill. It felt like the exact same thing in the next 2 games. I thought the multiplayer was pretty repetitive in the 3rd one, i didnt play singleplayer though.

I voted both, because I got to play the Beta and it was pretty decent (much better than 3), and Fallout games have never been badly made. As to which one will sell more, I am not really sure, but I am going to guess Halo.
