[Release] Fallout New Vegas Male Player Voice Mod

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:46 pm

hey guys! Just finished my first mod for new Vegas (just in time for my birthday, w00t)! :D It's a voice replacer for your male player. I had a lot of fun screaming my butt off in my studio in hopes someone will dig this mod. So, enjoy!

Yep! I do voice acting for games and stuff for a living, so... might as well do something fun for a game I love :D

Oh dang, so there's a Mac version of the game? Crap, does anyone know what the sound file format is? ;__;

That's surprisingly good (then again I was expecting some 16 year old to be screaming into a crappy mic), it would fit right into the game quality wise.

I like these, but my character is an old guy. Any plans on releasing different variations? I just changed the pitch in Audacity and it turned out really well, maybe you could release a lower pitch version. All in all very good quality though, I liked them alot!

Thanks! Sorry they're not really meant for older characters. You can certainly do whatever you want with the voice files and implement them into your game, but I don't think I'll be changing my own and uploading them. I might call up another pro voice actor and ask if he can record these, but in their deeper voice. My voice never dropped, so I'm like, forever a teenager =P

Really good work! Maybe you can use a program to lower the pitch? I just use the used the karaoke option on my realtek control pane to lower the pitch (set to -2) and it sounds deeper (for tanks :hubbahubba: )

EDIT: sorry, I didn't see your post above. I can see why people would want a voice meant to sound younger than normal. Good work, man!

Is it just me, or does this kid sound like advlt Link from Legend of Zelda; especially for the power attack lines? :spotted owl:

That was my reaction as well, lol. Pretty damn awesome voice acting, gj. Not bad to be compared to Nobuyuki Hiyama, that's for sure.

Aww, thanks guys, haha. I voiced Link for some fan stuff (Brawl Taunts series on newgrounds type stuff) and I don't even meant to sound like him. That's just how I do my yells, haha. I really appreciate the feedback though, guys! :)

I really was expecting terrible quality 13 year old child type stuff, but was pleasantly surprised. :$

Do you do any voices for quest mods or whatnot?

It's definitely a very professional recording and very high quality but I'd prefer a deeper voice for the males of Fallout. My character looks like he uses an army knife to shave and headbutts bears so I was quite surprised that the original sound files that came with the game were so high pitched.

Thanks, guys! Sorry it's like, even higher than the original, but at least it's different from all of the other males in the game. That annoyed me the most.
