Fallout:New Vegas, that little flaw.

Is there any side thing in the game just makes you mentally cringe?

For me it's two things:

A. Mcarran Airport being so dirty and dark for being occupied and supplied with power from Hoover Dam

B. That one Boomer hat that looks like a generals hat. I know it's 200 years old and all. But that crooked angle of the brim just makes me want to jump into the game and smack it straight :bonk:

This one stems from FO3, but the one sleeve on the regular Leather Armor. That random metal forearm and large elbow guard just always seemed out of place in an otherwise awesome-looking piece of clothing. Always wished I could just go in there and take it off and have a regular leather sleeve, much like your sensation with the hat.

Ugh you mean that "restaurant" that is literally littered to the point of being absolutely disgusting? I know what you are talking about. When I first walked in there I was like wtf this place is property of the NCR and the vending machine is on its face the restaurant looks more disugsting than a high school cafeteria after a food fight.

Does it have to be an intended feature? Can it be a bug?

Spoilers!!!

I am still tormented by the telepathy/omnipotence of guards in some encounters. If I enter the brotherhood bunker while using a stealth boy, remaining hidden the whole time and activate the self destruct how do they know it's me ??? :banghead:

Sniping legion troops from the other side of the world still gives you a bad rep with them. They never saw you, so how do they know it's you? :banghead:

For me it's that fact that, even though I am vilified by the legion, I still get negative karma from taking their stuff.

Spoilers

So I just took down the commander Aurelius at Cotton Wood, I got loot his room and gain a massive amount of bad karma. I mean if you guys absolutely HATE me why should I gain negative karma from taking your stuff?
Also very, very,VERY annoying when you wipe out the Fort and start 'looting'

Awesome armor...but the gun (depending which one) goes through the actual armor itself. It just doesn't look right...which is one of the reasons why I don't use the Ranger Veteran armor. T_T

That there are empty tin cans everywhere people eat and multiple empty trash cans.

I know it's not an ideal existence, but they should get off their asses and clean up a little.

I an a fan of anything with a scope, and my wandering gun is a 9mm with a scope, it kills me that there is no light reflection from it.

The worthless iron sights on the service rifle. That is not how you do that kind of iron sights.

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:M16_rifle_correct_sight_picture_fig_4-18.png is what I should be seeing for a sight picture.

When you have the pompadour haircut and wear a business suit, the hair clips at the back of your head, it makes it look so messed up! It irritates the living hell out me. :banghead: :swear:

Edit: It only does it for the pompadour and the tunnel snake haircut.

Horse? I want a donkey! It would be so awesome riding one across the dam during the final battle with the CZ57 Avenger blazing.

Where's my damned horse?

I apologize, but this is massively off topic, but I just light bulbed.

I'm okay without a ride-able critter, what I want (now) is a recon/pack Mole Rat. Put some C4 in his mouth and send him into a camp in the middle of the night or train him in the art of stealth and you can send him back to your house with booty and maybe train him to bring stuff back (like when people got stuck in Vault 34 without enough RadAway).

This is officially my stupidest idea that I feel is the greatest idea I have ever had.

Well lets see.... it would have to be the clipping issues with certain clothing items. Ranger Ghosts hat for one, which
clips into her head. Her glasses for another. Cass having invisi wrists. The numerous floating rocks and plants. The poor AI
in Caravan, how the opponent never sabotages your caravans. The poorly rigged body models. Missing sounds. NPC's missing
goodbye dialogue. Broken quests, quests that misfire, quests that start for the wrong reason. Creatures and NPC's getting
stuck in the ground and rocks. Obsidians art assets which aren't weathered proportionally to Bethesda's, and the poor way
they were intergrated into the game in some spots. Inconsistent design choices in some spots. Wonky Karma system.

Overall, the lack of polish would hit the nail on the head for me.

Since the release of the geck I've whipped up 13, count em....13 mods for this game just to tweak some of the more
niggling annonyances.

The inclusion of skill magazines, just really don't like the very *idea* of being able to raise skills temporarily in such a manner (20 freaking points with the right perk). At least raising stats with drugs can have a downside (though too slight). So yeah, bleh for skill mags.

It's a shame too since I think they got the skill book balance just about right.

Given that skill books are rarer, I -- and my current low-INT character in particular -- am very grateful for the magazines. Though they should maybe be more expensive.

Most of the really annoying flaws that come to mind are bugs -- unlistenable radio and crazy arms being the two most persistently annoying -- but the screwed-up karma annoys me. Also, a fair few of the game's quests feel incredibly fragile and easy to break, this is not one of those games where you think "http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheDevTeamThinksOfEverything".

And I wish that travelling was slighlty less sedate, that there was more traffic on the roads, random encounters, even just being jumped by raiders more often.

Oh, and: I find the second act of the main quest to be quite awkwardly-paced, with the player having a load of end-game junk dumped in their in-tray almost as soon as they hit the Strip, quite possibly well before they've thought much beyond life after Benny.

Here are some flaws that are pulling my hair:

1. They messed up Grimy Pre-War Buisnesswear!

2. The Pre-War Park-Stroller outfit now looks like the FO3 Dirty Version

3. Same with the Spring Outfit.
