So I'm a massive fan of fallout 3 I have 4 characters with 200 + hours on each one, and until recently I haven't really been interested in NV.

The feel just felt slightly off and plus all the bugs everyone is complaining about ....... But recently i've been seeing a lot of reviews +
Lets Plays of the game and its peaked my interest and I'm quite keen on ordering it...... So I'm just wondering out of the personal opinion
of you guys, is it worth getting?

Yes it's all ways worth it . but i hope you know that the game ends after the battle of hoover dam and you have to reload a new save or create a new guy before the point of no return .The amount of people that bit*h about that is craziness .

Very,very worth getting. I enjoy the game,the larger arsenal,and the new story.Although it has it's share of annoying bugs New Vegas is still worth it. :fallout:

Definitely worth getting. Iron sights and hardcoe alone make me love it more than FO3 haha. [360 user so no mods]

If you enjoyed Fallout 3 that much then I am sure you would enjoy New Vegas.
I have yet to run into any horrible bugs that I my self have not put into the game (bad experience with mods on a PC).
The only major difference between 3, and NV that I can think of off hand is accuracy in VATs. In 3 I used VATs all the time, but in NV I keep getting told I have 0% chance to hit my target at long range when I can just drop out of VATs, and hit it just fine.

Do you like nice story or enemy within 50 pace? if the later you shouldn't bother.

Much better story although not as big or as suited to freeroaming. The multiple endings give it considerable replay value too

Last time I checked it was going around $15-$20 at my local game vendor, which is a steal. New Vegas is a great game GET IT.

I think it's worth getting, however, i would wait for all the DLC to be released or wait for an ultimate edition. While i believe this game is better than FO3, it does not have nearly the same amount of replay value due to it's linear/static nature.

Its NOT worth getting this game in its current state. Many of the quests are broken, not just main quests but side quests as well. Many of the glitches that were here on release day are still unfixed and seem to be a low priority (Stuff still spawns in rocks or falls through the world). The main priority seems to be pushing out the DLC and saying "Buy the DLC, it will fix your problems" ... which is an untruth as the DLC's have only created more issues.

Yes the recent patch made the game more playable but all in all, unless you like dealing with constant problems and hard resets of your console (Yes I said Hard resets as it freezes on Xbox and PS3 and requires you hard resetting to get back up and running) I would avoid this game until the GOTY edition comes out and you get all the DLC with the game and patches. Otherwise I suspect you will be in the same boat a lot of us are. We bought the game in good faith (Hell I pre-ordered for the classic pack) and started playing only to find that the game was rushed out to market and that its really more of a Beta phase than a Release phase game.

IF you still want to buy the game, by all means do, but I suspect if you do with in a week or so you will be here, complaining like the rest of us to a company that clearly is more concerned with pushing out its next title and its content than fixing the steaming pile of dog droppings it dumped on this community.

Back up for a sec.... Did you just call New Vegas linear? In Comparison to Fallout 3 of all games?
