So far, really disappointed.

This game still uses that god-awful Gamebryo engine. The face generation system still looks terrible and the hair seems pretty much the same. (resulting in ugly PCs without WAY too much work or mod help. oh and don't forget the seams around the neck. wouldn't be complete without that!) The game jitters and stutters only slightly less than Fallout 3 did. (my gaming pc is very high end so don't blame it) My character runs like he's on crack. (ie high speed) The default mouse speed is as bad as FO3s without altering it. A player shouldn't have to modify a dozen config file items and mod the game to death just to get it playable or have a PC that doesn't look like something from a genetics experiment gone wrong.

What the heck?! Did you guys just totally ignore the issues with Fallout 3 entirely? (from your lack of fixes for FO3 that's an obvious YES) I only played for a bit so far but it felt like playing Fallout 3 all over again in terms of the technicals. Fallout 3 was almost unplayable for me from the start. I beat the game DESPITE your lack of support and this game looks like more of the same on the technical side. Between FO3s random crashing, terrible stuttering, odd graphical anomalies, bizarre physics (Deathclaw launch in 3...2...1...), and other random weirdness, that game took every ounce of patience I could muster to complete. And from taking a look at FO:NV I get the feeling it's going to be more of the same. Not to mention that FO3, at times, didn't really even feel like a Fallout game. FO:NV, so far, feels even LESS like a FO game.

Fallout 1 and 2 were classics. Tactics was fun too. Fallout 3 was an amazing achievement in terms of atmosphere and graphical presentation. However it was a technical disaster and FO:NV seems to have inherited the worst that FO3 had to offer in that department. Yes, I know it was developed by Obsidian. Shame on them too. Too bad I bought it on Steam and can't get my money back. If this is what the Fallout games have to offer from now on, I am done with it.

Well...at the very least FO:NV dumped that horrible Games For Windows Live junk. :-P
