Faralda loses 30k of MY gold?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 1:25 pm

Hey there.

Just bought destruction training for about 30k gold. I have a lots an lots of loot stored in my home, so was hoping that i could just sell my loot to her, and in that way get my 30k back.
Unfortunately she goes to sleep, and the next time i approach her, she only has 2k gold?

Another time i started selling loot to her, right away, but my own gold-amount stopped increasing when i have sold for about 2k gold, even though she still had 28k gold avilable.

Is this a bug or do I have to live with this?

Technically it's HER gold.

In any case, I have encounter it before as well. So I always sell my item immediately back without changing cells (ie trigger a load screen) to make sure I get my gold back.

Yeah, Faralda's into real estate, and doesn't like having un-invested capital laying around. It's not your gold anymore, by any definition, if you just
paid for a service with it.

Check her room. There will be around 2000 pairs of shoes in a chest somewhere...

Every few days or whatever, the vendors' gold refreshes. Any excess is drained and any losses is refilled. That is how business goes.

Yeah, you might have just crossed that point as you went off to grab your loot. Just plain unlucky that is.

I remember once trying to get some Alteration training from Tolfdir at the College of Winterhold, but every time I paid him he took my gold and my skill level never increased. He's a thief I tells ya!

I had the opposite once. Sometimes for me vendors don't lose any gold when they pay me. Works for me :D
