Fast Leveling Archery?

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 7:56 am

Seems I get skill train archery to 50, but how do I get it up to say 90 without being too labor intensive, any other trainers, or followers whom can train me?

Aela of the companions can train you in alchemy and once you've completed the questline you can have her as a follower...and even marry her

Do you happen to know how high she can train? I am currently at 93 and as a sneak archer (one shotting everything while I am hidden) it is extremely slow. I would like to move onto one handed soon...Or two handed...

I believe she only trains to 75, Niruin in the Thieves Guild can train you to 100

Yeah, I was hoping to get someone to train me without having to do a bunch of quests and still get my money back. I'd prefer not to use the console, but I guess there isn't an easy way to level archery like the first trainer does to 50.

Once you can make iron daggers with banish on them gold doesn't become an issue anymore. To me and wanting to get my gold back from a companion was more so I didn't have to spend time fast traveling to every city to sell off 40 daggers worth 800 gold a pop.

Do most of the Dark brotherhood quest line and you get shadowmere. You can just shoot shadowmere and he pretty much never dies on master difficulty.

LOL, as much as I love the idea. I love Shadowmere way too much. He doesn't die to enemies by the way. Only to falling damage.

I killed my shadowmere with my swords by mistake. He does die :)

Yeah I just grabbed a Hunting Bow and Iron Arrows and went at it on Shadowmere. I can't even get him to 95% health (even with crits). It does in fact level your archery, though from 93.5 to 94 took 61 arrows. Going to have fun trying to find arrows. One more thing; is it by damage or number of times hit? I believe it was hits in Oblivion so that is what I was going off of.

Niruin in the thieves guild seems unable to train me in archery. Usually I can ask for training and the NPC will say they can't train me anymore but he doesn't even have the option to go into the training UI anymore. I have trained off him in the past.

FYI, They changed the leveling mechanism in the game, it no longer counts how many hits you get with a bow, it counts the damage you do, so killing someone with one hit or twenty gives you the same experience. The difference is after level 90 the amount of exp you need to get to the next level has been dramatically changed.

NOONE can train you to 100 anymore. yes another stupid cap has arrived : trainer CAP. i am still not sure why master trainers are still in place anymore. since now at 90 skill you cant train anymore. the final 10 points MUST be earned all by yourself OR trough reading books that raise the skill.
