I was way off in the wilderness way overloaded with stuff I really wanted to bring back to Whiterun. No horse or companion. So I killed a goat, loaded all my stuff into it, resurrected it and fast travelled home. The goat came with me but immediately died again leaving an ash pile. But all my stuff was still in the ashes. I usually walk but I've walked back and forth between Winterhold and Whiterun too many times. Wish there was a wagon at Winterhold and that you could ride in one while overburdened.
