I really despise these winged jerks and I need to know the fastest way to dispatch them.Plasma rifles barely hurt them and guns take forever to kill too.The only melee weapon i have is "Oh,Baby" but my melee is really low.I need to know the best weapon/way to kill these sons of .... without getting poisoned. Thanks in advance

Take out one of their wings, it will greatly slow them down and you'll have a much easier time taking them out.

Yeah, take out one of their wings, get a sneak critical if you can, kills em in one shot a good amount of time, if not, finish them while they're squirming on the ground.

The Entomologist perk helps too. I've had good results with that, plus a VATS uppercut with the Ballistic fist. Time it right, and the thing'll be dead before it can touch you. But I recommend having Antivenom handy, just in case.

Yes, go for the wings with multiple shots. The Q35 Matter Modulator works for me...and I stay away from Cazador areas until I have enough Antivenom; Legionairies usually carry it. The Cazadors are pretty much limited to certain areas and you can tell it's them before you get there because the red ticks on the compass jump around.

My current preferred method is VATS+ Trail Carbine. This Machine or Dinner Bell work, too. Otherwise just use any full-automatic weapon. And use HP ammo; Cazadors have no DT.

Energy weapons-wise, Laser RCW or Tri-Beam laser rifle are your best bets. A Plasma Caster also works; for a heavy weapon it has a remarkably low AP count in VATS.

best way to take em out without getting posioned, and does anyone have problems with the plasma caster in 3rd person view, i always seem to miss

As has been said, cripple the wings to kill their mobility. They have no DT, so any weapon with a good DPS'll do the trick, like a good quality shotgun or submachine gun.

I love throwing an incindiary grenade into the nest near Jacobstown (with the dead super mutant). So funny to watch them all fly around on fire, then notice you, then die as they try to reach you.

Either use a weapon that has long range for maximum safety, or something very damaging in close range. AER14 Laser rifle proved to be very good because it has the longest possible VATS range (the distance when you can get 95%) of any energy wepons and has a 2x crit rate. If you want to attack from longer range, use steady chem.

Other ways I killed cazadors: Flamer is quite easy, it attacks all their limbs at once, Minigun is devastating but I don't reccomend it.

In my last game where I played an unarmed with Pushy and Rad Child (8hp regen) and 7 Endurance (10 - 3 Critical Rad poisoning), they proved to be a total joke at hard difficulty. The high endurance (high venom resitance) and the hp regen basically denied them of any way to seriously harm me.

Still my favorite is VATS critting & meltdowning with AER14.

I found that weight of fire works best. 10mm smg seems to work best.

I always had trouble with cazadors until I found the Brush Gun. The accuracy of a hunting rifle, but the power of a shotgun. Its quite awesome.

To kill the winged beasts... I like a high DPS.
1. Full auto
2. High Cap

Note: the have no DT. Use hollow points.
Don't bother with vats - just aim and hold down the trigger until they die or your gun runs dry.

Early Game: 10mm SMG w/comp & extended mags; use 10mm JHP or 10 mm HP for best effect.

Late Game: LMG w/large drums. Use hollow points.

side note: LMG w/AP ammo can penetrate any DT I have ran across in the game. (With 100 Guns skill + 100% CND)

I would love to try the BAR but I haven't got around to getting Dead Money yet.

Wing em. It takes two shots from the 44 magnum Ive disovered. But if your fighting a crowd, I suggest taking out the biggest-drummed gun you have.

There aren't many worthwhile opportunities to use the Fat Man effectively, but the crowd of Cazadores in Tribal Village is definitely one.

The distance from the eastern mouth of the canyon to the tents is just the right length to fire the bastard in safety.

(And if the staged corpses have re-spawned as alive and are keeping them busy it's even more fun.)

I've found that I can't go wrong with either an LMG (with expanded drums and HP ammo) or Minigun with HP ammo. Against a swarm of murder wasps, you really want a big magazine.

A 10mm SMG with HP or JHP would probably work well too, especially if you've got the rapid reload perk.

Beyond that, a Gatlas will do well too, and an RCW with the recycler is decent too.

KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE! Seriously, they are weak to fire. Also, anything automatic with HP rounds works great.

Overwhelmeing firepower. I recommend Annabelle or Mercy. Or, just let you companions handle them....
