Dual Wield soul trap and cast it over and over again on a horse. Once you run out of magicka just wait an hour and repeat the process. It's extremely fast, believe me.

Do I have to have the Dual Wield perk?

So thats it? Just cast it on a horse again and again. I run out of magicka. Now "wait" an hour. Redo again the whole thing. And BOOM! Conjure keeps going up in level?

Get in combat with a mudcrab and start running around while conjuring bound swords. How entertaining.

And as a bonus, you mildly annoy the horse.

Just equip Soul Trap on both hands and cast at the same time. It works on corpses too, if you don't want to spend 1k on a horse.

If you are trying to level any of the skills, like it says in the manual, make sure you use it in actual combat. Just casting the light spell over and over doesnt improve it....unless you are in combat. I forgot what the manual said myself....was irritated that my spell casting wasnt growing....reread that bit and started casting something prior to going into combat and forced myself to cast during fighting as well. From that point it steadily climbed. With a mage type toon it will probably be a lot easier to go magic first I'm sure! But for my pally it is usually wade in and pound em down, with the occasional heal cast.

Unfortunately, that's not the case with soul trap. You can spam it on a dead body and wait for your mana to recover. I have no patience for it, so I just summon atronachs in battle and I feel it levels up plenty fast already.

Getting the dual wield perk will just make it more difficult/take longer. But other then that you're good. You can probably get from level 15 to 100 in 25 minutes or less.
