Favorite bugs

We don't have a sticky for Known Issues. Let's make one! It'll make things easier for the devs when a lot of people report the same bug. Here's my top 10 list of the little buggers:

1. The Euclid's C-Finder sometimes bugs out and starts an infinite targeting cycle, which doesn't stop until you exit and re-enter the game. This one actually had me so frustrated I went and fixed it myself, here's the thread: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1145850-c-finder-bug-crushed/

2. The Beam Splitter mod for the Laser Rifle doesn't... oh what's the word I'm looking for... Work. It does create three projectiles, but it does not increase the damage in any way, so you might as well mount a turd on your weapon for all the good it does.

3. Using a Repair Kit on a weapon with a Condition-increasing mod will only repair it up to the original maximum condition, and will *damage* your weapon down to that value if it's already above it!

4. When ED-E is upgraded at the Followers's place, if you have anything stored in it they'll just go ahead and take that. No biggie, it's not like I needed all that expensive ammo, water and crafting materials! Administrative expenses, I guess. Maybe I shouldn't have nuked the Brotherhood?

5. Everyone's favourite crippled Powder Ganger Boxcars resets to the default greeting after a few days in his chair, which incidentally breaks a couple of non-important quests. Maybe his legs turn gangrenous and the rot spreads to his brain? He also has the unsettling habit of getting up and jogging around like a pro whenever I poke him in the ribs with a Switchblade... I don't know what that's about.

6. If you're viewing a recipe with 4 ingredients, that's fine. If you're viewing one with 5 or more though, and want to see the rest of them, then that's a little too much for the game to handle. You'll hear tons of clicking noises and the ingredients window will freeze up until you exit and re-enter the crafting menu. How annoying.

7. People seem to like me so much they defy time and space in order to find me. I was out scavenging a drive-in west of Primm, when I turn around and see... Primm Slim. Howdy pardner! I nearly crapped my pants from the shock, when all of a sudden Nash Johnson literally poofs out of thin air beside him. No-Bark once did the same in the HELIOS collector park, and for a restricted area the guards were surprisingly lenient about him wandering around inside there.

8. It's no wonder things are going badly in Forlorn Hope with the kind of leadership those guys have. I was going to see Major Wossisname about getting paid for blasting Nelson to pieces. It's late night, so he's sleeping in his tent, and while I approach it, Boone targets one of the Bloatflies in the graveyard below. The other one zooms up to sting me, which somehow puts the entire camp at DEFCON 1, people start running around like crazy. "Sir, there's a bunch of Legionaries to the south here... You nevermind that, private! You go charge at that bloatfly over there, on the double! Ten hut!" So, what does their leader do? He does a Bush and skidaddles! I see him getting out of bed and taking off like a rocket to the west, doing the cower animation now and then, and the doctor follows behind. Now, at this time I'm overencumbered and can't catch up with them, so I modav my speedmult and damage one of my legs to walk like the actors in a 30's movie. I seriously had to chase the svckers all the way out to the gas station near the highway before they'd take a break, at which point the Major acted all serious like nothing had happened, and the doctor thanked me because the situation at the camp is now so much better.

9. On the same note, everyone in Goodsprings and their livestock tend to get slightly massacred by a Giant Radscorpion every now and then, which is incredibly fun to watch but does have a negative impact on the overall property value. "Yep, that's a big varmint all right, this ol' Varmint Rifle here'll take care of that right away!". Nope fellas, this is New Vegas, we have a thing called Damage Threshold here! That rifle is now wielding YOU for protection! When it reached the main street I had just killed Ringo and Joe Cobb was still alive, and I managed to talk to him and trigger the rest of the Gangers showing up, at which point the Scorpion promptly turned them into shishkebabs. I decided to leg it and went north... into the Cazador nest. Man, I thought, this is one seriously awesome game right here :D

10. Having trouble with your street rep? Powder Gangers charging you an arm'n leg to visit their joint? Do not despair, for with Andersons Wonderful Magnificent Teleporting Toilets you'll be rockin' the jailhouse in no time! Just run up to the south side of the prison, where the johns are standing next to the fence, and press the Use key when prompted! You'll fly straight through that fence in the blink of an eye, ready to do your thing in peace and quiet! Then you can walk around the place like you own it! Available in a store near YOU!

Oh yeah, my favorite bug/glitch of all. Victor, who already has the uncanny ability to show up unexpectedly, also finds ways to teleport himself to locations where after talking to him, you realize he had no intention of visiting. Alternatively, you'll have guys like NCRs Lt. Hayes teleport himself from Primm to the area right outside the NCRCF, only to be brutally murdered.
