What's wrong with thief? All his skills except alchemy fit the thief archetype perfectly. Assassin is just someone who kills for profit; a mage or a warrior could be assassins. A thief only becomes an assassin once he takes some warrior or mage skills like one-handed or destruction. But you could easily roleplay (and I know people do this using arrows to distract enemies) a pacifist thief that only uses thief skills and never hurts anyone.
It could have easily been labeled Assassin or Rogue. I just don't like the term, Thi.....well, you know.

A fair point.

Thief, Assassin, Rogue... its like saying add or sum or on top of... all synonyms.

Many games uses different words that have the same meaning to try and stand out.

Took the Mage stone. I'm not primarily a mage in Skyrim, but I like playing with summoned creatures.

You'd likely prefer the Ritual Stone instead, as the Mage stone only augments how quick you learn magicka.

If you like familiars, summons if you will, you could potentially find this quite useful... particularly if you are primarily a melee type that doesn't necessarily have a deep pool of magicka or enchants to supplement.
