Favorite clothing

I certainly don't much like any of the "Fine Clothes"...just don't like the way they look. I'm another who likes the look of the Mage Robes. The Arch-Mage Robes are a bit too "frilly", but look warm for wandering around the snowy wilderness. Hooded Robes, like the Thalmor ones, are quite nice.

As for Armour, I do like the Ancient Nord Armour on my wifey, Lydia.

Where do you find the hood??
In the display case there are 2 robes, the name will not imply it but one is hooded

The Fur-Trimmed cloak some of the Jarls use is pretty awesome, so is Ulfrics clothing.

BTW: Does anyone know a way I can get the Fur-Trimmed Cloak?

If you mean the one with no sleeves that is called Noble Clothes and can be obtained in the east empire company warehouse at the solitude docks

Used to wear DB robes on my assassin/thief argonian, now for my Imperial warrior it's definitely ebony armor set...

I liked elven and glass armor back in Oblivion, but Thalmor pretty much ruined them for me.

The wiki says you need console commands for it OR get Ulfric's unique set by siding with the Imperials and winning the war

That's too bad. :( I don't want Ulfric's clothes. I want Igrod's or Elisif's. And besides, none of my current characters side with the Empire, anyway.

Nocturnal/Forsworn or Master thieve's guild armor for light armor.
Falmor/Ancient Nord or Daedric for heavy armor.
tavern clothes.

For combinations. I like Falmor armor with ancient nord helm.

For light armors I usually always wear a priest mask with the rest a set. Though I do like heavy armor with a priest mask.

The chef's tunic and hat. Looks hilarious if wielding a knife and fork and taking on a dragon in 3rd person.

LOL

Started off with poor, common person clothes - especially liked the talsgar the wanderer type ones. Also wore a hat and gloves if I was up north where it's cold.

Then when my character got 'richer' and more well known, switched to the more finer clothes such as Jarl robes and such.

To be fair though, add a circlet to anything bar ragged robes and it makes you look like nobility.

Don't like any of the clothes for a female character :sad
Best of an unappealing lot is the dress Haelga wears. Looks somewhat attractive (compared to the other options) and a lot warmer than the tavern clothes
Thank heavens for mods

Never realized how hard the tavern clothes were to locate. Found a set for my first character and from then on, there's none to be found.

lol... and yes, I've looked. Every tavern, every inn, every general goods store, even armor stores. Stopped into Radiant Rainment, but of course she's too good for those... eh... oh well..

From the robes my favourite is the golden adept robes. Took them rather than Expert robes. It''s pretty cool you can wear dragon priest masks while wearing the Arch Mage robes under the hood. My favourite gloves have got to be the Thalmor Gloves.

Only place i know of (without resorting to murder) is
Spoiler
Liar's retreat, a cave on the right side of the of the road before the bridge near Broken Tower Redoubt, when you approach from the redoubt.

On Topic, my battlemage uses the blue noble clothes, my thief the tavern clothes, and my warrior the green tunic. Now i have modded clothing for them though, http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/594717102209983149, and the http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197988732882/screenshot/596970899396578596/? :hubbahubba:
