Favorite in-game book?

Thought it'd be fun to see what people like. Also a nice break from all the Dawnguard topics. Mine is The Mystery of Princess Talara. I've loved it since I read it in Oblivion. :)

So many really.

The Biographies of Barnziah
The Real Barenziah
The PGE's
The Cabin in the Woods
The Woodcutter's Wife
Any books about Skyrim, the Nords, Orisinum or the Orcs or Black Marsh and Argonians
Books about Oblivion and Daedra
Brief Histories of the Empire
The Wolf Queen's
The Mysteries of Talara

etc. etc. etc. etc.

Also really enjoy reading all the journals/notes/letters I can find.

I was intrigued by the 'Rising Threat' series. As a player of both Oblivion and Skyrim, I loved finding out about what happened in between the two games, and then using that in my gameplay of both games.

'Immortal blood' was also a very interesting read. Really highlighted the difference between each type of vampire.

'Shadowmarks' is amazing, just because you can find the marks all across Skyrim.

A Kiss, Sweet Mother. When I saw that I went
The love poem you get for a certain quest in Markarth was both touching and funny.
The Legend of Red Eagle. Because I'm obsessed with the Forsworn and Hagravens.
The Bear of Markarth made me  and was the last straw in terms of how I view the Stormcloaks. I also enjoyed The "Madmen" of the Reach for obvious reasons.
The Talos Mistake because it is such painfully obvious propaganda.
Herbalist's Guide to Skyrim. I'm not gonna lie, it's the illustrations I like. Great book for an alchemist.
Rising Threat books. All about the Thalmor. (Although thinking about it, I am dying to read a Thalmor version of events. I expect it would be hilarious.)

Rising threat, The Oblivion Crisis, The Arcturian Heresy, The Mirror, Immortal Blood and so many more. There are many good books, though many of them are returning ones from earlier games.

The unedited "The Real Barenziah v2"

(In game it says that one of the passages were removed by the Temple.)

The books "Palla v1 and Palla v2" are good. Particularly the ending

I haven't read many but I liked A Hypothetical Treachery , Chimarvamidium and Immortal Blood, those are what I remember at the moment.

As for usefulness, Shadowmarks and A Herbalist's guide to skyrim take the cake

I keep all of the notes and people's journals.
After a while I quit reading the books-I open them to be sure to get any benefit then I usually put them back or keep them to sell. I like the one with the Skyrim symbol on the front and I thought it might be interesting to see how many I could find in a set, that is ones like the wolf queen that have multiple volumes. When I pick up a book that says vol 3, I wonder about 1 and 2 and 4 and beyond. Do they exist? where? The standing stones fit into that mindset for me also. I am on a personal quest with one of my characters to at least locate all of them. I think there is an achievement reward for finding all of them but that is not why I am searching. It goes with my courisity about the vol. sets of books.

Thank you, Davii!
Discussions seem to be so Dawnguard orientated that by the time it comes out I will already be tired of it (not to mention all of the bickering and [censored]ing about getting or not getting on the beta trial).

The Lusty Argonian Maid, vol. II :hubbahubba:
On a serious note: Reality and Other Falsehoods, Response to Bero's Speech and all other new books that shed a little insight into how magic works in Nirn.

I liked Death of a Wanderer, the Marksmanship Lesson (I think), and numerous others. I got every book in a chest, even the ones you have to buy from the orc, but I'm proud of my collection.

I'll probably get abused for this, but I'm not trying to bring to the discussion back to Dawnguard. In Morrowind and Oblivion I roleplayed a couple of times as a vampire hunter, and my character in Oblivion always carried a copy of Immortal Blood with him. I like Immortal Blood, even though you can see the final twist coming from about a mile away. I like Frontier, Conquest too, and Fall of the Snow Prince.
