Favorite Hold?

I would to know what your guys favorite hold is and why?

Mine would have to be Solitude because it has the proud spire manor there and that's mainly where I keep half my stuff.

I agree with you - Haafingar (the hold which contains the city of Solitude) has a nice mixture of sea port, forest and snowy mountains. Beautiful place.
Next is Whiterun - I love roaming the tundra!

Whiterun hold is rather nice. Next is the Rift. I've never really liked the Reach for some reason, even though I basically live in that enviroment (welsh valleys)

The Reach. I don't keep my stuff in Markarth but I still really like it. Anyway your favorite hold shouldn't be the one with your house in.

Outdoors I prefer the Rift or the Eastmarch. Falkreath is a bit to moisty for my taste and the northern holds (except for Haafingar) are a tad too inhospitable.

The steam vents in Eastmarch are one of my favorite places to hang out, followed by the swampy Pale.
As for cities, I like Solitude the best. From outside, Solitude is gorgeous and really just screams high fantasy. However, from inside the town it just looks like a town. I wish it was a little more apparent from within the walls that you were up on that arch.

I like Riften too, Honeyside is a nice house to RP a quiet life.

I'd have to go with The Rift and it's beautiful autumn scenery.

Whiterun and the Rift hands down. Hjaalmarch is beautiful in it's own way too, they all are (except the Rift :P)

man it's a tough choice... i'd say it's a toss up between the reach, the rift, and winterhold... all of which are because they are quite beautiful.

I feel the safest in Whiterun - hasn't got any funny weather systems like the other holds and all the shops are placed in the most convenience.
