Favorite SNES game.

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 5:04 am

I dug up my old SNES and instantly went through all my boxes looking for controllers and games but it also turns out there's a local hock shop that sells pretty much every SNES game ever. So I want to know everybody's favorite SNES titles are than I'll go buy the game and play it plus the best part is I could be at least twenty games there only about five dollars each!

Some classics go without saying such as:
-The Super Mario world games
-Donkey Kong country games
-Kirby Super Star (childhood favorite)
-Mario kart
-Mario paint

I also picked up a copy of Earthbound I haven't played it yet but hear it's very fun is there anybody who can vouch for that?

Legend of Zelda: A LinkTo The Past
Super Mario Allstars
Final Fantasy 3
Secret Of Evermore
Secret Of Mana
Breath Of Fire
Lost Vikings 1 and 2
Mortal Kombat 1 and 2
Nobunagas Revenge

I have all of these plus some more with my SNES, except for Zelda, which is my fave, but it got lost in the Twilight Zone. :(

I hear Final Fantasy VI is pretty fun but it looks kinda lame to me.

Other than that I would highly recommend Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid and Zelda 3.

The reason the world has problems is because there are people who haven't played Earthbound.

Aladdin.

I recall playing that when I was much younger I'm not sure what happened to it...

Wanderers from Ys III

I actually have that one :) however I'm terrible at it and it makes my brain hurt :(

Haha well I'll be glad to join the percentage of people who make the world a better place.

Super Mario RPG and The Legend of The Seven Stars

Oh god anything but that! I have Super Mario RPG it's probably the worst thing I've ever seen. :(

Earthbound

This, this, 1000 times this. I don't think I've ever spent more time on any other game than I did on Earthbound as a kid. http://www.destructoid.com/giygas-a-psychoanolysis-of-evil-itself-151790.phtml has got to be one of the coolest (and scariest) final encounters of any game I have played, the music that plays once you beat him stillhttp://starmen.net/mother2/music/149-%20Earthbound%20-%20Giygas%20Disintegrates.mp3.I wish Mother 3 was in english (officially).

Others:
Super Mario World
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
Super Mario RPG
Megaman X
X Men: Mutant Apocalypse
Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3
Kirby Superstar
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time (I actually beat this on hard with a friend not too long ago. Was disappointed by the "real" ending)

I have TMNT:Turtles in Time, but I don't play it, my grandkids love it. I also have Mario paint, which they love, and Wrestlemania, I have quite a few others, but not really worth mentioning.

wow, if you picked up Earthbound at a pawn shop for 5 bucks, you are damn lucky. If they have any more, go back and buy them, they can finance you buying the box and manual for it(about 60 bucks each respectively). The game usually sells on E-Bay/amazon for 60-80 Dollars, and if you have all 3 and they are in good condition, it's worth about 300-400
