Favorite Tavern?

Post » Thu Jul 05, 2012 1:05 am

I'd have to say my favorite tavern in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun. It has so much life to it. The barkeep greets me every time I walk in. Mikael is probably my favorite bard. Saadia offers me a drink when I sit down. I can have a friendly brawl with Uthgerd. And the bedroom has a ledge that gives you a nice view of everything. The bar itself is in a great place in town, I think. Not too far from Belethor's or Breezehome. I'd have to say the Bee n' Barb is a close second though. Talen Jei is a straight up baus. A lot of cool people there. So what do you think? What is your favorite tavern?

I dont like taverns in Skyrim at all. They are too boring and empty and useless if you ask me.

I can understand that. I quite enjoy roleplaying though. I think taverns are a great way to do it.

My favorite is probably the http://www.iguanadons.net/files/gallery/d127a75df61634bce2d512fc90191f9d.jpg - I found this inn the first time after my character got into a drinking match with a devious NPC who shall remain nameless and woke up in Markarth. There are a couple of interesting quests involving the Silver-Blood Inn and I got into my first brawl here, and lost, but after I bought a drink for the guy who beat me up, he became my first companion.

I also liked Candlehearth Hall, the New Gnisis Cornerclub and the Bee and Barb, for some of the interesting overheard conversations.

The one in Riften, it holds so many memories for me, getting into brawls and drinking competitions, plus the company are always so welcoming..NOT. Which is all part of the fun.

The Nightgate because it's in a convenient spot...and I like to use the inns to avoid traveling at night, sometimes.

Saddia offers you a drink when you sit down? Damn, maybe I shouldn't have had her packed off back to Hammerfell to face justice. But then again she did betray the city to the Thalmor who then slaughtered everybody, so maybe not.
