Zap Glove, flashbang punch!

I've found little as satisfying as just the basic knife. My high stealth high melee character can work wonders with it and the blood and rust combination afterward is always enough to put a smile back on my face.

Nothing better than stealing a dress cane from an ultra luxe and battering him to death with it

Pushy or any of the unique power fists, for the lovely *bling* when you smack someone and the distance they fly

My gear consists of pronoun guns. This Machine and That Gun.

Currently I really like my modded Cowboy Repeater (scope, ammo tube, action) and my modded Sniper (carbon fiber and suppressor). Gonna get This Machine right away, and then work for Jury Rigger so I can keep it in decent shape without Weapon Repair packs

I always like the simple bolt action rifles. The .32 cal from FO3 was probably my most used weapon, but I also like the fully modded sniper rifle, and the sniper was much more powerful than the hunting rifle in FONV and uses the same ammo so that kind of wins out even though the hunting rifle has slightly more style points.
For pistols I <3 Maria, also like the Ranger Sequoia although I don't like the way it looks in first person. A lot of the first person views of weapons are a little off or annoying actually.

Brush Gun and the Lever-Action Shotgun.

Lever Action with Shotgun Surgeon and Cowboy perk is win.

I have been tearing my hair out as to which rifle to use, do i go with the looks of the Ratslayer at the cost of the damage(44 odd Damage) ? or sacrifice looks with the more wasteland looking Brush gun(something crazy like180 damage) or the futuristic Sniper rifle(110 damage) for maximum damage over looks ? arghh! :violin:

Well, i decided to sell the Ratslayer as i want to be able to take on & kill deathclaws, so atm i have the silver sniper rifle(as i prefer the scope. unless the Brush gun has a scope mod ?) with 100 rounds each of AP & HP, i am mulling over going to the Brush gun with like 180 points of damage, but i prefer a clear scope. Still, maybe i havent come across ALL weapons yet. I may go with the Riot shotgun as my backup, close quarters weapon.

Yeah, I was aware a scoped Garand is a pretty ridiculous notion, I was just frolicking in my dreams.

Pushy is certainly my favourite unarmed, in fact favourite close range weapon. The head tearing off sneak criticals are just to amusing to miss.
I like the Gobi Sniper for my long range needs, I haven't added the silencer mod as i find the loud version has it's advantages. If you snipe far enough away your victims mates will start walking right towards you while you are still in caution and not danger, gives you a nice line of idiots to headshot OHK.

I'm a bit upset my anti-materiel rifle doesn't do as much damage as I thought it would/should. Gave my sniper rifle to Boone, but don't think he uses it.

I have the YCS/186 Gauss gun, but need to get it repaired. It's broken, so I can't even equip it to use a weapon repair kit on.

I like most the guns, they're all really fun to play around with.
Personally i seem to gravitate toward .357 cowboy repeater (just because i get used to it early on and once it's modded it's not bad later on). the hunting rifle is a beast. But my favourite for large group engagements is the machinegun-rifle or just recently i found Mercy.
If only the ammo for the 40mm grenades was easier to find .

For a pistol eh, i wasn't that impressed with them. But i stuck with a silenced 10mm, packs a decent punch and it looks cool.

I'm about to try a playthrough with a melee/energy weapon heavy character. and i think i'll enjoy the melee weapons.


Lol i forgot C4, remember the exploding pants trick from fallout 3? with C4 this just got fun.
seriously i love fallout new vegas for C4, being able to control when an explosive goes off is so much fun. (sending a deathclaw into orbit has to be my favourite trick)

M14 suppressed and with a scope. Oh the joy of sniping. And the Lucky Bastard rifle (unique (mod )varmint rifle).

This is going to sound stupid, but how, exactly, do I use the C4? I'm playing on the PS3, if that makes a difference.

I procured C4 a while back, but never really though about it. Then I tried to use it in Vault 34 (? the plant vault?) for the quest. I threw it down, hunkered down, but couldn't find a way to detonate it. I had to make do with a frag grenade instead.

Couple days ago, I stumbled across a detonator, so is that what I was missing?

Oddly, I like the sawed off shotgun. In many ways, it feels useless because you have to be very close to use it and even though the damage feels like it should be huge, it's sstill lightly underwhelming .... but loaded with slugs, it still packs a nice punch, has a satisfying boom, and looks awesome.

Lately I have been having a lot of luck with the machete gladius. TOO much luck really. My melee skill is low and so is my strength. My guy shouldn't be that good with it, but he is for some reason. I think melee is broken or something, but hacking off limbs is still fun.

Actually, it was done and renamed the M1C. Google it if you don't believe me. Also - there's now a mod adding an M1C to Fallout NV I saw on Nexus. Happy hunting!

The M1 Garand is probably my favourite.

You have to give him ammo for it, then he'll use it, and your .50 BMG ammo too.

It's best to keep the ammo in your inventory, and parcel it out to Boone when you know a deathclaw, cazador nest, ect. is near, so he doesn't waste an 8-cap shell on a radroach.

My fav Melee weapon is Knock Knock. I like how it looks, how my character holds it and swings it, and I like how it looks while wearing a Fire Helmet!!

My fav Unarmed weapon is Pushy. The flashes are nice, and it's compact compared to bulky Power Fists.

My fav Explosive weapon is a custom Grenade Rifle. The unique version is not a big deal and so I'd rather have the normal custom one due to it feeling more special somehow, due to being customized personally. I named mine Rudy Ruckus.

My fav gun is a hunting rifle with all the custom mods. Looks fun to shoot. Looks good with Duster coats and cowboy hats.

My fave thrown weapon is the Throwing Hatchets. No grenade comes close to the quality action that is throwing a freakin tomahawk into the face of a Raider screaming "U liek the sight of ur own blud?" for the zillionth time in his/her life.


My fav energy weapon is the Pulse gun becuase....lol I dunno. I don't use energy weapons yet.
