I just finished all the missions for The King in Freeside, and I was wondering what favor everyone decided on? The three options are money, free pass into Vegas, or joining the kings. I think everyone knows by now that as long as you have over 2,000 caps you can get into Vegas free anyways, so that doesn't seem to be a viable option. I'm torn between taking the money, or joining the kings. I was wondering if anyone knows what benefits you get out of joining the kings? I assume you probably get some fame a notoriety in Freeside, but who cares? Are there any other perks? Thanks

i was told however you can get a pipboy 3 billion(gold verson) somewhere freeside

Only things I noticed for joining the kings was you got one of the uniforms, you could use the hairdresser, and occasionally while visiting Freeside a Kings member will come up and give you something (I got a stimpack once and some caps another time).

I did a few errands around town and now a Kings member gives me caps or stims each time I enter. This was before meeting the King and doing any errands for him.

You get 1000 caps. I saved it and asked for money just to see how much he would give me. Yeah The only problem with saving it and joining the Kings just to see the perks is that maybe the perks are not right in front of your eyes immediately. I'll probably end up taking the money though, it seems like the best bet. I'll let you all know if I find out what benefits you get from joining the Kings

If you join the Kings it opens up a new dialog option to fix Rex

Other then that, Freeside fame, and easily one of the coolest "small faction" outfits in the game.

Actually I fixed Rex without joining the Kings. That dialogue option opens up after you complete the last missions for The King himself. But you can go back to him at anytime and bring up a speech option that says something like " About that favor you owe me," and from there you decide between your three options. I've been researching a bit..it seems your best bet is to take the 1000 caps and run

I opted for the passport. I was abit short on caps at the time from buying weapon mods.

Join the king = suit and a haircut.
Money= 1,000 caps
