Favourite Perk/s ?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 9:39 am

More me I would have to say "Jury Rigging: Repair any item using a roughly similar item. Requirements Level: 14 Repair: 90".

Such an awesome perk. Saves you a tonne of cap's. I mean I repaired a Marksman Carbine with less then 10% health and repaired it with a few service rifles. Sooooo good.

The next perk I am going to choose is "Nuka Chemist: Unlock special Nuka-Cola recipes at the workbench. Requirements: Level: 22 Science: 90".

Hbu?

Solar Powered and Rad Absorption.

I like perks that gives something extra, most others just give +1 to some stat(s) so these two actually do something.

Finesse, Silent Running, Better Criticals. I take 'em every time. Can't live without 'em.

I like the Educated, Animal Friend and the Night Person perk.. for some reason I'm more active at night and that perk is ideal for me.

The Professional, or the Spotter Perk Boone gives you. Whiskey Rose is pretty sweet too.
Meltdown is also nice.

jury rigging is excellent, pack rat (all items that weigh 2 or less have weight halved) is great for hardcoe mode and having 70 barter lets you pass most of the speech checks in the game. silent running is great for sneakiness

Rad Child which provides +6HP/sec or +8HP/sec regeneration (60-80 times more effective than the regen implant), Super Slam (perhaps the most powerful perk in this game, allows you to wipe out packs of enemies without using VATS), Jury Rigging (makes all those those 20,000 cap repair bills from go away forever )

Whiskey Rose is hands down the best companion perk (constantly drinking whiskey provides you with +2 STR and +4 DT to +6 DT depending on your survival, equivalent to getting three implants, or a few ranks of Intense Training)

Must have:
Black Widow
Better Criticals
Jury Rigging

Usually have:
Finesse (but if I have 7+ luck already I'll skip)
Silent Running
Toughness/Stonewall
The one that makes you reload faster, can't remember the name.
....I skip all the VATS-only ones so for lack of others that I really like, I tend to do Intensive Training, Comprehension, and the one that adds another Tag skill.

If I went melee/unarmed tho, I'm sure there are a few others I'd really like for those builds.

Shotgun Surgeon, Travel Light, Silent Running, Rapid Reload, Quick Draw and Rad Child are probably my overall favorites.

Jury rigging. Saved and made me a lot of caps and also made it a lot easier to keep my expensive weapons in good condition

Probably the Scrounger and Fortune Finder. They've helped me a lot in both 3 and New Vegas.

Educated and Comprehension are the perks that I take because I have to, but my favorite is Rapid Reload. Quick reloads look so bad-ass.

Strong Back and Hunter why because I play hardcoe mode and being able to carry more items is always good. Hunter because I do 75% more critical damage against animals and mutated animals. Others would be Weapon Handling and Sniper.

These for now are my top four.

Commando is a staple of mine, since I always use a rifle. Can't do without it. And Fast Metabolism, since I rely on Stimpacks a lot. And Grim Reaper Sprint is still nice, though it's no longer the powerhouse it was in F3.

And as much as I hate to admit it (being straight and all), I rather enjoy using the Confirmed Bachelor perk. Lots of male oponents out there, and it allows me to bypass a lot of difficult bits. I've played a game where it was OK to gay before, but this is the first game I've played where it's beneficial.
