I'll throw out the premise and maybe somebody more knowledgeable than I can say whether it is doable or not and possibly how much work would be required to mod it when the tools come out
The goal:
To get all mage spells on a different keybinding at the same time.
To reduce the time between spell changes to zero.
The requirements:
To program a new ui with a new keybinding interface that has the ability to:
1) recognize the xbox controller on the PC
2) recognize button combinations including
.a) length of button press
.b) sequences of button presses
.c) simultaneous button presses
The result:
fully customizable key bindings with zero change over time between spells to you can easily make it so
fireball+x (down, diagonal forward, forward+x) executes an ice spike
fireball+a executes an ice rune
hadouken+a (forward, then fireball+a) executes a fire rune
back, back, x executes oakflesh
hold back for 1 second, then press back and x would execute ironskin
RT+a/b/x/y would execute 4 different shouts
LT+a/b/x/y would execute 4 additional shouts
or any possible configuration one would want to create via the newly modded interface. perhaps something like the player inputs the move, and then the game learns that move, and allows for 1/4 second variation to consider that move properly executed.
This would be a godsend, not just for mages but also for all players because it would work not just with magic, but also with shouts.
I would go but an xbox controller with the wireless PC receiver in a second if this was doable.
so, feasible or no?
If not, what are the major roadblocks?
