Feature Requests

New to the forums, so sorry if this is duplicated elsewhere, though I didn't find anything in my searches.

I generally play games on the Xbox or on a Mac, so Skyrim mods are out for me. Therefore, I would love to see a few core features added to the main game and expansions, or at the very least, future Elder Scrolls titles.
  • Ability to dye clothing, armor and weapons with at least primary and secondary color areas, similar to what's seen some games such as Warhammer Online and RIFT
  • Ability to adjust character height
  • Enhanced equipment comparison window to allow side by side comparison of equipped gear with inventory items or items in a vendor's sale list
  • Ability to view learned recipes for crafting without having to go to a specific crafting station so that the player could more easily know what ingredients are needed when at a vendor without having to pull up an external document source on the Internet, etc.
  • Buyback option from vendors so that when the player accidentally sells something he/she didn't mean to sell, he/she can get it back at the same price, at least until exiting the buy/sell dialog window
  • Consideration for enhanced balance in the magic combat system, bound weapons, and armor enchantments, so that high end mages can produce the same level of damage output as maxed out archers or melee combatants with top tier blacksmithing, alchemy and enchantment skills
  • Official Mac version of the game with the same developer and mod tools as PC (yeah, I could bootcamp Windows or run an emulator or virtual machine, but I prefer the MacOS interface)
Love the game. Thanks for listening.

Character height should be quite limited, only a 5% up or down ratio at most. We don't want bosmers taller than high elves, now do we?
..Do we?

As for the whole merchant system, I'd prefer if it was like in Fallout 3 and new vegas. You sell these items and buy these items. Then, the total amount of money needed it shown up and it's either you or the shopkeeper who pay the difference. This may seem like it doesn't matter at all, but it does. For example, if I have 1000 gold and a merchant has 500 gold, I cannot possibly buy an item from him that costs 1600 gold, even if I drained his money to 0 so mine would be 1500. With Fallout 3's system, I could simply put the 1600 costing item on my buy-table and add items for 100 gold to make up for the difference. Real trading. In Skyrim, this cannot be done, and it doesn't even feel like trading.

i dont agree with the "height" request
also another request should be deeper role play. i get the feeling that this game could have many more speech options when ur enganged in a conversation.

I'd rather just have a wider range of unique items than the ability to dye them. Fable II had a lot of dyes, and it really didn't do wonders for customization as people thought it would.

Ability to adjust character height
Agreed, but only within a plausible range depending on race.
